While we tried to explain to the case worker how severe my father's dementia was, she determined my father's level of care was Skilled Assisted Living. He lasted appx 1 month on the SCALF unit. They did not give my dad any care besides calling him to meals. He was allowed to sit in his room in fear & eventually had to go into psychiatric hospitalization. When he was ready to return to skilled nursing, they said they didn't have a place for him....so, they basically skilled him at the wrong level, then kicked him out. Horrible experience!

My mother lived in their assisted living for 6 months. We moved her after that because she was just not getting any attention or caring.

My mother received the very best care I could expect from anyone.
