This is the worst nursing home I've ever seen! The CNA's hide in other patients room to keep from working. They have their "pick and choose" of whom to give attention too! My dad is literally skin and bones because they're not feeding him properly! I'm so @#$% at the staff for not doing their jobs! I'm definitely reporting this.

As a patient there a few years back I have NO good words for this nursing home. I couldn't wait to get out of there. It is understaffed and the very few "good" nurses are overworked and soon quit. I wasn't supose to question my meds but I did thankfully because I would have taken wrong meds or too many when not needed. (my BP was low and by taking meds it would lower it more. So I asked and the nurse agreed but on the report it said that I "refused to take meds" )Their knowledge or lack of towards sanitary conditions is terrible. (they wanted to reuse a trach suction tube after it had sat exposed) Privacy...there is none as there was a patient that came in my room twice and he was half naked as in no pants tried to get in my bed with me. The majority of food served for me was loaded with salt even on a "low sodium" diet. I lost weight by refusing to eat their so called meals. (they mostly served hotdogs)The words to describe this place was told to me as a "warehouse to die". I agree. I would never leave my loved one here.

Description of Capitol Hill Healthcare Center in MONTGOMERY, AL

Number of Beds : 284

Senator John Glenn once said, “Too many people, when they get old, think they have to live by the calendar.” A rejection of ‘calendar living’ perfectly describes the kind of world the senior living industry creates for millions of Americans over 55. Senior living is a lifestyle of personal choice. Those in senior living communities are never beholden to the calendar. They are free to be as active or inactive as they wish. If they want to relax and watch TV, they are free to do that, too. If they are healthy and independent and wish only to take advantage of fine housing, home-cooked meals, and cleaning services, they are free to do so. If they need assistance with some aspects of daily living, that type of community is available, too. Senior living also includes housing for those who require daily medical care as well as care for seniors who want to stay in their own homes. A well-organized system of care, senior living welcomes you for what YOU want to do.
