Do most assisted living apartments come with a balcony?

Not all assisted living apartments come with a balcony, although it's an amenity that can draw new residents to a community. It's fair to assume that residences on the first floor will not feature balconies, but some may make up for this with a patio. However, upper-level assisted living apartments may include this sought-after feature, with access from sliding doors or even French doors. An apartment with a balcony may command a higher rent or fee, and sometimes communities consider these apartments premium residences.

Each assisted living community has apartments with different floor plans and amenities, so it pays to find out whether residences include balconies when researching communities. If you like the idea of sweeping views and fresh air, do your due diligence and find an apartment with a balcony – you won't be sorry!
