My father-in-law has been in and out of the skilled nursing unit at
Brighton Gardens in Sun City twice during the past 6 months, each time being for about a month.
They (all the staff) were wonderful. We could not have asked for any better care and concern.
We especially want to thank Sharon Rees and
Sam,head of nursing,
and Marcus for all the help and assistance they gave us during his 2 stays.
No matter what we asked, they were there to get it done. The facility is clean and as nice as can be. Everyone we encountered was pleasant and upbeat. We are moving my father-in-law back to Pennsylvania to be with family and are hoping the facility and staff there will be as good as Brighton Gardens of Sun City Arizona. Thank you everyone! Pat and Al Hogan

In addition, some nursing homes offer specialized care programs for Alzheimer's or other illnesses, or short-term respite care for frail or disabled persons when a family member requires a rest from providing care in the home. Please note that you can help compare nursing homes by looking at the Medicare ratings of a given facility (Medicare has a 5-star rating system for comparing nursing homes). Located just minutes from the Loop 101, Brighton Gardens of Sun City sits right in the heart of Sun City. We pride ourselves in our home-like atmosphere and dedicated professional staff. Brighton Gardens is built on a commitment to our residents and their families. We believe no two people are alike, so the services and attention we provide should never be exactly the same. Thats why we also offer a variety of lifestyle, service and care options. By providing these choices, we not only offer solutions for today, but we provide the security of knowing that there are options for tomorrow. Sunrise takes pride in offering the kind of service and environment that merits the praise and confidence of our residents and their families.    Constant communication with our residents and families in forums like our resident council, family meetings and customer satisfaction surveys help us to always improve. We understand that each resident is an individual with unique needs and preferences.  That's why we meet with residents and family and conduct an assessment - prior to move-in and at regular intervals after move-in - to understand the need for assistance and support. This assessment helps determine the appropriate care and service that preserve each resident's dignity, encourages independence and best enables freedom of choice.  The assessment results in determining a specific service level based on the amount of assistance provided. Upon completion of the assessment, a team comprised of the Executive Director, Assisted Living or Reminiscence Coordinator, Health Care Coordinator, and our designated Care Manager prepares an individualized service plan that is monitored on a daily basis. Because we know that quality of life depends on both environment and relationships, we focus on these two factors. We have determined that a carefully thought out physical environment and the culture within it would come from the people and relationships living and working in that setting. At Sunrise, we recognize that diet is one of the most important aspects of a seniors life. All of our communities serve three, delicious and well-balanced meals daily. Plus snacks are always available throughout the day. Because our activity programs are tailored to our residents, each communitys calendar will vary according to the individual preferences of the residents who live there. Discover our beautifully landscaped courtyard and gardens, enjoy our fine cuisine or join in an activity or social group. At Brighton Gardens, we have an abundance of ways to make your life here enjoyable. Here is Assisted Living committed to comfort and care: tastefully appointed apartment-style living, attractive and spacious community areas and daily assistance from an attentive, caring and trained staff.
