Our 17 year old son was transferred to trillium after sustaining a traumatic brain injury when struck by a car in January 2912. The care, if you want to call it that, was horrible. Thank god we were able to get him home to Texas. He was left in his own urine and feces for more than an hour several times. Fell out of his bed, developed a staph infection( which I had to point out to staff!), an allergic reaction that I also had to pretty much diagnose myself, laid flat and had vomited on his self( could have killed him!), has a permanent intestinal infection,( not found until we got him home to Texas and caused by the staff not washing their hands after dealing with other patients fecal matter!) had maybe 1 hour of theray a day, not even every day. Health south here in Texas did more for cole in 2 weeks than that pit did for him in a month and a half. Do your research people. If you truly love the person that you need to place in a facility, do not leave them at trillium. They will be neglected and will be lucky to surve at all!

My husband of 20 years was sent to Trillium,& received subpar care for 2 weeks he was there.Unecesary procedures were done to keep him alive.Found on the floor with tubes still attached on several mornings that I went to see him.Put in a chair instead of bed because too busy to move him.He was uncomfortable & miserable. Finally he said"get me the bleep out of here" Went to hospice & passed away the next day.
This is a warning to other people to not send your loved ones there. No compassion,& poor care on the staffs part

As an employee I can speak loudly to the commitment by Trillium Administration to provide the highest level of care to our patient's. I believe that our staff is the most committed team I have ever worked with. Administration takes all complaints serious and will address them when brought to their attention. Education is ongoing and providing the highest quality of care is a priority. I love working for Trillium and would recommend it to my family and friends.

Please don't send your loved ones to Trillium. My grandmother was supposed to be there for Rehab, and then home in a few days after a surgery. Now she's in ICU fighting for life because of her care at Trillium. They didn't make sure that she ate or drank, and often forgot to even bring her food (I had to remind them several times). She went into kidney failure because she was so dehydrated and starving.
Not once in the week we were there did I see a nurse wash their hands or put on gloves. Because of this my grandma's chest tube got infected and she is septic.
I'll say it again, my grandma is currently in ICU fighting for her life, because of the care she received at Trillium.

The system they have in place to update their staff with residents care is inadequate. My sister witnessed a patient nearly get an additional dose of pain medication simply because the staff failed to check his chart prior to administrating his medication. My mother had orders changed by a Doctor that were neglected once again for failure to check her chart. Her chart had detailed wound care instructions that weren’t executed because the aids failed to review her chart. My mother is bedridden and on a feeding tube. I have personally seen aids lay my mother flat with the tube still running. (this can kill her!!!) In less than 6 months my mother has been sent to the hospital 3 times for internal bleeding which stems from lack of proper care. The nursing home looks nice but the care is horrible!! If you need a nurse it will take you an hour at the minium before someone comes and when they do they do come dont know anything and will give you the standard "let me look at her chart" and then you are waiting yet another hour. I am grateful my mother was able to make it out of there alive!! We visit my mom daily I really feel sorry for the people that dont have family that can be as involved as us because they just get neglected. If you Love the person you need skilled care for DONT SEND THEM TO TRILLIUM!!! The 1st month their service is AWESOME and after that you get neglected. I think they do that so you can sleep at night thinking your loved one is being cared for. It is really sad because it could be a great place if they had the proper employeees and procedures
