User Reviews

In my first review I gave four stars to the items on this check list. My father has since passed away but I wanted to follow-up on my review, I would still give it at least a 3 star on overall rating, staff helpfulness I rank highly as well, cleanliness will get a high rating as well. Quality of care - what won't get high marks from me because I don't feel my Dads care at night was as good as it should have been, he had sundowners as well, so would not sleep at night, he broke a window in his bedroom one night and instead of the owners insurance covering this, my mother was required to pay for repair, I still do not think it was right, and if they were monitoring him appropriately this should not have happened. I was not highly impressed with the meals being served. I felt that the owner of the home seemed to be a little high strung, told me my Dad had a stroke when indeed he had not. She seemed like she was not happy when we brought hospice on board. She did not work well with the Hospice of the Valley representatives. The Hospice representative felt the home might not be able to provide the comfort care he needed in the end and offered to have our Dad transferred to Hospice Care. When it came time for reinbursement of his final monthly bill, which she asked to be paid out in three to four monthly payments because she did not have the money, the first check bounced. Ultimately, all funds were reimbursed but we should never of had to wait four months to have all the monies returned, our payment was expected on time at the beginning of each months stay.

My father, who has Alzheimer's, is currently at this location and has been for about one week. The caregivers at the home are very kind and always smiling. The house is very clean and neat, lots of natural light, a safe enclosed back yard for enjoying the fresh air, and most importantly, my father seems to be happy there. I have visited during the lunch hour and can tell you that a very nutritious lunch was served. (NOTE: I never give 5 star ratings - I will come back and rate All About Seniors again after he has been there for a longer period of time)
