I had moved my father in this home a month ago for alzheimer's and dementia. I was hesitant at first because the care giver barely spoke English. Within a month, my father who was still getting around without the use of a walker or wheelchair, became almost in a coma like state. The home always smells like urine and the residents are not being taken care of. Ana, the owner, was over medicating all of the residents. I have come to find out that she is now under investigation for fraud against the State Health Board and by the police. When I asked to speak to other family members of the current residents as a referrence, she said she would not allow that. I have removed my father from the home and placed him in a loving environment. When I picked up my father from this nightmare, he had bed sores all over his body and smelled like he hadn't been cleaned in years. Ana told us that this is a natural occurance and that it's just his body odor, and there was nothing she could do about it. Her boyfriend then began to threaten me and became confrontational, saying that he hoped my father would die. I still have not received my security deposit and last months rent. I would compare this place to HELL on Earth. STAY AWAY, as I am sure that Ana will be getting shut down by both APS and the State at any moment.

When I was looking for a place for my father, I found Acapulco Assisted Living and couldn't have been happier. The staff was friendly, inviting and had and over abundance of knowledge. The care my father received was fantastic and helped him live out his days with dignity. I have nothing but the highest regard for the staff and family at Acapulco Assisted Living Home, and will continue to sing their praises, always. If you are looking for a home for your loved ones, I highly recommend them.
