09/11/2012 An Current/Past Resident Writes: I just had a stay at Sabino Canyon and had a great experience. The food was delicious and served hot. The therapy staff was so helpful and worked with me everyday to get my strength back. The nurses were so friendly and very professional. I will recommend Sabino Canyon to anyone I know as a good place to recover successfully.

07/30/2012 An OurParents User Writes: The staff at Sabino Canyon Rehab are some of the friendliest, caring people you will ever meet! I have several friends that live there & I visit frequently (3-4 times a week). The care & concern for the patients is obvious. The place is always neat & clean & does not smell like a "nursing home". You can just tell by the interaction between staff & patients that they have love & empathy for them. From my experience, I would highly recommend Sabino Canyon Care Center for your loved one.

12/27/2011 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: not good we are having to move relitave

04/21/2011 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: Today I stopped in to see my father and found him to be bloated so badly that his right eye was swollen shut. Apparrently he has been this way for three days and they have yet to do anything for him. I then asked the staff to help him go to the restroom because he can not walk alone or he will fall and the staff member rolled her eyes then gave attitude. Wow, think they forgot they are there for the patients!!!! My father spent two days vomiting and us family members had to clean out his bucket because they just let it sit there next to him for hours and hours. I will be contacting Council for the Aging and Medicare to report this. Run.... they dont care about your family member just the money!!!!

03/14/2011 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: Sabino Canyon Care shows no respect for the patients - my mother was moved from one room to another 3 times in 3 months - her belongs were mushed together and thrown in a corner and she was provided no furniture other than a bed.
It wasn't surprising that she could soon no longer remember where her bed was , or where to go and take an afternoon rest. But they were quick to tell me she seemed depressed and needed a psych eval.Well, duh!
In addition no one ever put up her hair tho I provided bobby pins , or helped her put on her bra , something she kept asking for. Her shoes disappeared and the staff couldn't be bothered to find them , saying , they're probably in a closet somewhere around here ,letting her wear someone else's shoes that didn't fit.

09/25/2009 An OurParents User Writes: This facility is very clean, with no strong odors. Staff is friendly, taking care of the resedents as if they are thier own family member.
