Ashton Place is awesome. They have walked me through the process of admitting my parent step by step. They have treated my Mother with the grace and dignity she deserves. The staff is helpful and kind. The facility is spotless. I can't imagine anyone giving them a less than outstanding rating and I am very picky with my Mother's care. They are the best in the Fort Smith area.

I read the reviews and tried to be open minded. Horrible, horrible, horrible. Sat in room for 3 hours before anyone came to help upon admission. Went to dining room and never got served until end...then food was cold. Pulled family member out after being there 4 hours. Wouldn't send my dog there! I am a Registered nurse and this is totally unacceptable. Needs to be reported. NO help. Waste of time and very tough on my dad who was the patient.

I cant say enough good things about the staff at Ashton Place. Both the medical and administrative staff have been wonderful in the care of my mother in law. They have gone out of their way to make my mother in law comfortable, while taking very good care of her. Ashton Place is always clean, the food is good and the staff is always smiling and ready to help. I have been to other nursing homes in the area, and this place is a far cry from the typical clinical nursing home.

So, not sure what drove those other reviews. It is never easy to have a loved one in what we still refer to as an "instituion". The staff is very patient and caring. They have gone out of their way to make my mothers stay as pleasant as reasonably possible. The food is good...I've eaten it. Very clean, I have been to many facilities in the area and this one is best for my mother. Though the others were welcoming and gave us complete tours unannounced.

The care was horrible. The management acted as though they could care less. Avoid this place. Looks will fool you

HORRIBLE CARE!!! Not enough staff, untrained, unfit employees. The management is also HORRIBLE!

10/26/2011  -  An OurParents User Writes:

Family member there for a short time, the worst care ever, they lie when the truth fits better. Take to the dining room long before meals and leave in the dining room long after the meal is over. Food was terrible, the worst salmon runny mess. Talk down to residents when they think no one is watching.
