this facility has major management issues. zero communication between upper staff and their aids. if the guy who manages this place does not see the bad quality of care in this facility , he should start a new career. turnover in this facility is high and the good associates are frustrated or don t stay long. neglect to your family members is common. i do not recommend this place do to the problems we occurred in the 3 months my father was there. this place should be shut down due to quality issues.

Our father, who has COPD, stayed less than a week at this facility, he will most definitely not be going back. The first three hours he was there, data recording mistakes were made by a new employee taking vitals, the room mate had a terrible cough, and the RN wasn't sure if he had a cold, or what. It's critical that COPD patients not be exposed to any infectious diseases. In addition, and most critical was that, when he was changed over from his portable oxygen, to his concentrator, it wasn't turned on, and he was without oxygen for awhile. This was an RN taking care of this. Granted, the aides probably are paid minimum wages, and are stretched thin, but mistakes like this can not happen!

Staff is very helpful. They aren't perfect but they have always helped my mother when she has needs. I don't understand any negative things about here because my experience has always been good.

Response: The current Special Focus Facility status was due to a 6 month period of complaints. The facility now has a new administrator and director of nursing. Upper level staffing is new as well as most of its lower level staff They have implemented a new quality assurance program that has new monitoring systems in place to follow through with family communication and patient care. The facility is dramatically improved.

Response: This post is about the assisted living not the nursing home.

i have been at the facility for over a year and have experienced good and bad services; however, within the past month it is especially horrific and frightening. The staff lack compassion and competency. The new owners have slumped to a new low and are rivet with untruths. Nothing has come to pass. There is not one person in the building that cares. The admission person lied to us recently but she is still there whereas others that have always provided excellence is no longer there. I imagine now those persons are smiling and relieved they no longer are employed by such deceit. I am looking to leave as soon as I can

Response: New administrator, Director of Nursing and Admissions person as of July 2012

Past management was almost non-existent, the new management is horrid.
With no business or past experience with running an assisted living center, she has decided to run it akin to a business. Including firing most previous staff, regardless of their performance. Those that were not terminated were relocated to other fields without training -in- said field and then terminated if they couldn't adapt within a week.
Their talented cooks were laid off, the activities director (who was one of the most dedicated individuals working there at the time) was as well, most of the CNA's were bounced around and treated poorly.
Because of this, quality has really dropped.

Under new management and it shows. Quality of care has improved, staff has a better attitude. The food has improved.
