Blue Harbor is guided by a strong set of values that include: recognizing each resident as a unique individual; partnering with the professional community to provide innovative quality care; nurturing family relationships; and hiring and training the best possible employees to offer 24-hour care as needed. The care and quality of life for each resident is the driving force at Blue Harbor communities, with a focus on providing the greatest value and service possible.
Blue Harbor Senior Living encourages an active and independent senior lifestyle, with the realization that the level of independence is a matter of personal choice as well as an important element of self-esteem. For that reason, Blue Harbor encourages the right of each resident to continue to be as independent as possible and gives seniors the space they need to enjoy the life they want.
As part of its emphasis on choice, Blue Harbor Senior Living features an "Individual Preferences" philosophy of service, which allows residents to choose how to live each day in a Blue Harbor community. Community services are customized to address each individual resident's preferences and abilities with regard to dining, activities, housekeeping, and personal care. Blue Harbor has identified this customized approach as the best way to respect and preserve each resident's independence and sense of freedom while also providing intervention and assistance as needed.
