Senior Management Advisors
With 11 independent living, assisted living, and Alzheimer's Care residences across Florida and Georgia, Senior Management Advisors excels in offering personalized services and a sense of home, community and family to senior living residents. The executive team boasts more than 25 years experience in senior community property management.
Building Caring Senior Communities for More than a Decade
In 2001, the company was founded to manage a portfolio of 18 senior living communities. After bringing the properties to an occupancy rate of 96 percent and increasing profitability, Senior Management Advisors sold that portfolio. Since that time, the company has helped senior community owners through consulting, administrative, sales and marketing, financial, compliance, human resources, and even building and development services. As a company composed of successful senior living operators, Senior Management Advisors can assist in every phase of design, build, and senior property management.
The company has employed the same care and attention to building its own portfolio of senior communities across the Southeast U.S. In Senior Management Advisors communities, full-time residents receive the care they need or desire, for one, all-inclusive rate, even if their needs change. Short-term visitors, including day care participants and respite visitors, receive the stimulation and attention they deserve at affordable rates.
Easy Southern Living
Whatever your needs or capabilities as a senior, Senior Management Advisors has a senior community to meet those requirements, long-term or short-term. Located close to urban areas, vibrant suburbs or on the beachfront in gorgeous Florida coastal towns, residents enjoy life in close-knit communities where the staff is dedicated to their well-being, activities are personalized and relevant, and life is comfortable and enriching. Residents live in luxury with the knowledge that their health, wellness and personal care needs will be attended to, and that services can change as their needs change.
Lifestyle Living Options
Each of Senior Management Advisors properties offers full-service assisted living and a full continuum of personal care as residents' needs change. Six communities also provide Alzheimer's or Memory Care in a safe, secure setting.
Royal Palm Retirement Centre in Port Charlotte, Florida, and Blair House Senior Living in Macon, Georgia also offer independent living accommodations for seniors looking to enjoy their retirement years with a fully independent lifestyle and the security and comfort of knowing they can age in place even if illness or injury creates a need for assisted living or personal care on a temporary or long-term basis.
Many Senior Management Advisors communities also offer adult day care services. Caregivers who work full- or part-time and can't provide the round-the-clock attention to the seniors in their care can leave their loved ones and know they are enjoying socialization, stimulating activities, hot meals and snacks, and personalized attention.
Respite services are also available in many Senior Management Advisors communities for seniors who want to recover from injury or illness outside of a hospital or whose caregivers need a short break.
Assisted Living Services
Assisted living and personal care services include the gamut of health, personal and housekeeping/home maintenance services, including medication management, nursing, arrangements for doctor's appointments, hygiene and dressing assistance, daily or weekly housekeeping, transportation, and more, including a full complement of educational and social activities. Residents can take advantage of services like housekeeping or personal assistance as needed, and as they desire, so they can maintain their independence and control over their lives and activities.
Residents can receive physical, speech and occupational therapy on-site, avoiding the inconvenience of travel and making it more likely residents will keep therapy appointments. On-site beauty salons and barber shops make it easy to get a shampoo, trim, or color without leaving the community, too.
Apartments with all the Amenities
Studio and one-bedroom apartments of up to 500 square feet and larger are available in most Senior Management Advisors senior living communities. Residents may live alone or with a companion in the apartment.
Many Senior Management Advisors communities are designed in the southern plantation or Mediterranean style frequently seen in the southeast U.S., with the large, bright green leaves of palm trees dotting a sandstone building backdrop. Every community is designed to be welcome and inviting. Buildings look more like upscale hotels or private homes than "cookie cutter" communities.
Residents are encouraged to decorate their spacious, open floor plan apartments in their own style. Some apartments in some communities may come fully or partially furnished. All apartments include generous closet space, wall-to-wall carpeting and window treatments, as well as individual climate control for the residents' comfort.
Apartments are stocked with safety features, including grab bars and a hand-held shower head in the modern bathroom, smoke detectors, fire alarm and a sprinkler system, and an emergency call system in the event of a fall, injury, or sudden illness.
Every apartment includes telephone, cable TV and internet hook-up, and utilities (except phone) are included for added financial peace-of-mind and worry-free monthly budgeting.
Pets under 20 lbs. are not only welcome, but also encouraged, in most Senior Management Advisors communities. Pet therapy for seniors without their own pets is an important part of the activities program in SMA communities.
Fine Dining and Family Togetherness
While many residents are sure to enjoy cooking in the fully-equipped, modern kitchens or (in studio apartments) kitchenettes, some might prefer sharing meals in the fine dining restaurant, where residents and staff alike gather in a fun, festive, family atmosphere. Hot meals with a choice of entrees are served three times daily, and residents and staff also gather in the on-premise restaurant to celebrate birthdays, holidays or residents' accomplishments.
The Passport Dining Experience, one aspect of Senior Management Advisors living that makes the senior communities unique, offers residents a chance to sample cuisines from around the globe once a month. Residents are also encouraged to share their own favorite family recipes with the community's gourmet chefs, who will prepare the meal for everyone to enjoy. Every Sunday is "sundae" night, with custom ice cream sundaes made to order.
On-Site Education and Entertainment
From physical fitness to lifelong learning, from parties to pet therapy, Senior Management Advisors communities offer activities programs designed for everyone from active, vivacious senior citizens to those who need a bit more help and encouragement to be social and get the most out of their retirement years.
Entertainment can be individual or within groups, spontaneous or planned, with plenty of lounges, alcoves and public meeting areas where residents can play bridge, shoot pool, watch movies on big screen TVs, or simply cuddle up with a good book or audio book.
While each Senior Management Advisors senior living campus offers plenty of cozy spaces to relax and enjoy quiet time, the expert activities coordinators encourage group activities, and frequently plan guest speakers, trivia contests, music and entertainment of all types to draw residents together.
Residents are encouraged to join one of many fitness classes, from Zumba to Chair Yoga or -- for those who want something in between those extremes -- the Walking Club. Wii Bowling competitions are also popular events that bring residents together for fun and fitness.
Travel and Excursions Made Easy
While plenty of fun takes place right on the grounds of Senior Management Advisors senior living communities, residents are by no means confined to on-campus activities. Planned excursions to downtown areas, performing arts events, and more let seniors experience life in the community just outside their senior community, creating a sense of connection with the area and its residents.
Seniors also enjoy the convenience of scheduled transportation to the bank, grocery store and other shopping centers, and can receive help with the coordination of free travel to medical appointments, although the Senior Management Advisors staff can also facilitate house calls with general practitioners, podiatrists, dentists and optometrists who visit the senior communities.
Everyone Is Family
Senior Management Advisors emphasizes home, community, and family. This means that the executive staff strives to create an atmosphere where seniors feel at home, have a strong sense of community, and everyone on campus is family.
Family and friends are welcome to visit, and will be treated as family, too. Visitors can walk the grounds (which, in Memory Care communities, are secure and closely guarded), and participate in many of the community's parties and social events.
The large, shady courtyards and patios are secure and perfect for family get-togethers, equipped with barbecues for year-round cookouts. Memory Care Neighborhoods feature separate, secure outdoor areas for Memory Care residents to visit with family and friends in what is sure to become familiar surroundings.
