About Vintage Senior Living Communities
Vintage Senior Living is a unique family of retirement communities offering compassionate independent living, assisted living, memory care, and short-term care at 10 communities in Northern California, 12 communities in Southern California, and one community in Tacoma, Washington. A leader in creating nurturing and vibrant senior living communities, Vintage Senior Living's mission is to help residents thrive in mind, body, and spirit through the dedication of its staff and the excellence of its programs.
No matter which level of care matches your needs, you can be confident that Vintage Senior Living offers a safe and secure environment you can call home. That kind of peace of mind is invaluable in your senior living decision. At Vintage Senior Living, residents benefit from connections with compassionate, professional staff as well as friendly peers who contribute to the strong sense of community.
When you choose an independent living community at Vintage Senior Living, you'll be simplifying your life without surrendering your cherished freedom. You'll have a private apartment with a variety of floor plans to choose from, and you can even bring your beloved pet! When you're not in your apartment, you can get together with friends and family in common areas or on the immaculately groomed grounds. Weekly housekeeping and linen service is available, though it may require a service fee at select independent living communities. Independent living at Vintage is the perfect place to shed the burdens of everyday life without foregoing your favorite activities and vibrant lifestyle.
Assisted living at Vintage Senior Living is best described as "independent living with a helping hand." And residents are in good hands in each Vintage community, where health, comfort, and dignity are the critical components of care. Vintage Senior Living works with your doctor to develop a personalized care plan that's just right for you, whether you need medication management; assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming; extra help with housekeeping and linen service; or escorts to and from meals and activities. Pricing for assisted living depends on needed levels of support. Assisted living offers private apartments with a variety of floor plans to choose from, but all are welcoming and friendly - a place you can truly call home.
For seniors who aren't ready to commit to a full-time senior living arrangement, Vintage Senior Living offers the option of safe and restful short-term stays. Visitors are welcome to stay up to a month in furnished apartments, with the full amenities available to independent and assisted living residents. Short-term stays include recovery support for seniors recuperating from an illness or surgery, and respite care to provide you and your family a break from the daily grind. Short-term residents receive the same dedicated attention and range of services enjoyed by permanent residents. Vintage Senior Living is able to provide respite apartments on short notice.
Vintage Senior Living understands that no two residents experiencing cognitive decline are alike, whether suffering from Alzheimer's, dementia, or other cognitive challenges. That's why Vintage memory care communities tailor support to each resident's needs and stage of life, with the goal of ensuring comfort and dignity for all. In most communities, residents are given a Memory Box, which is a special place for mementos and keepsakes to help them connect past and present. Vintage Senior Living strives to make every day a good day for all residents.
At Vintage Senior Living, memory care residents live in private or semi-private rooms designed to enable them to live as independently as possible. In addition, residents benefit from dedicated indoor and outdoor areas that promote freedom of movement as well as a sense of security. Activities are structured to engage the mind and foster a sense of home and happiness, with specially trained staff on hand who are committed to caring for those with memory challenges. Round-the-clock support is available, including medication management and incontinence care. Of course, families are always encouraged to participate in their loved one's daily activities.
When it comes to end-of-life care, Vintage Senior Living is committed to its residents being able to age in place. Preferred hospice providers, in conjunction with Vintage Senior Living staff, tailor a resident- and family-centered hospice care program to every senior with end-of-life needs. Vintage Senior Living provides care management together with emotional support, ensuring the right to dignity and comfort during the final phase of residents' lives. The Vintage Senior Living priority is to be responsive to each resident's wishes and family's needs.
A Place to Call Home
Vintage Senior Living boasts ample common areas and community spaces to provide opportunities for activity and connection with fellow residents. Seniors enjoy communal living rooms, often with fireplaces, where they can feel right at home. Restaurant-style dining rooms are the perfect place to enjoy a meal with friends, as are the bistro rooms that provide refreshments for the in-between times. Movie/theatre rooms are available for your viewing pleasure, and bookworms will enjoy browsing the shelves in the community library. Those who want to keep up with the virtual world can do so at community computer stations that offer Internet access.
When residents tire of the indoor activity rooms, they can enjoy outdoor porches, courtyards, sunrooms, and even fireplaces and barbeque areas. Take a stroll on the meandering walking paths with covered seating areas, and admire the beauty of the gurgling fountains, splashing waterfalls, or even a creek. Play a round of golf at the putting green, or relax your muscles at the spa.
Vintage Senior Living Activities
There's never a dull moment at Vintage Senior Living, where every day includes a host of fun and rewarding social, educational, spiritual, and recreational activities such as exercise classes, musical performances, guest lectures, and lunch outings. Notably, Vintage Simi Hills won the California Assisted Living Association's 2012 Award for Innovation in Quality for its "Sit and Box" exercise program that's designed to improve seniors' cardiovascular and upper body strength.
At Vintage Senior Living, residents can participate in classes in art, history, and culture, or exercise their bodies through yoga or Tai Chi. Game enthusiasts will enjoy playing bingo, bridge, gin rummy, Trivial Pursuit, and a host of other games. Walking, dance, and choral groups are available, as are sing-alongs, luaus, theme parties, happy hours, and holiday get-togethers. When you're ready to kick back and relax, you can always make your way to the community room, where there's plenty of seating and a big-screen TV.
Vintage Signature Dining
A 2011 Assisted Living Federation of America "Best of the Best" Program to Watch, Vintage Senior Living's Dining Excellence Program offers eco-friendly and nutritious foods through its Vintage Signature Collection menu. Two distinctive daily entrées are available at every meal, in addition to an array of entrée choices from the regular menu.
Beyond chef-prepared meals provided three times a day in the restaurant-style dining room, snacks and beverages are offered throughout the day, and family members are always welcome guests. Special events meals include barbecues, candlelight dinners, holiday celebrations, and Sunday brunch. Vintage Senior Living offers cooking demonstrations, nutritional counseling, and support for residents' special dietary needs. And through its Harvest to Home program, Vintage Senior Living provides a garden in each community for residents and staff to grow vegetables, herbs, and flowers.
At Vintage Senior Living, residents can take advantage of scheduled concierge and transportation services for medical and dental appointments as well as personal errands, shopping, pleasure tours, and field trips to plays, concerts, and special attractions. And you can leave the laundry to helpful and friendly staff members who provide housekeeping and linen service. Best of all, Vintage Senior Living is pet-friendly - each community features visiting pets, and most communities welcome pet residents.
Not only that, but each Vintage Senior Living community welcomes and encourages family members to participate in community life. Vintage Senior Living promotes frequent family visits, activities, and shared meals, as well as special events such as candlelight family dinners, luaus, happy hours, and holiday gatherings - complete with entertainment! Vintage Senior Living also plans regular educational programs for families, featuring speakers on key topics such as estate planning, exercise and mobility, home health options, hospice care, Medicare counseling, pain management, and veterans affairs.
Vintage Senior Living has partnered with Elderlife Financial Services to help seniors and their families simplify senior living payments through the Elderlife Line of Credit. In addition, Vintage Senior Living works with Life Care Funding to help seniors raise funds for their senior housing and long-term care by converting their life insurance policy into a Long Term Care Benefit Plan. And eligible veterans or the surviving spouses of veterans at Vintage Senior Living may receive an Aid and Attendance benefit of up to $2,000 per month to defray the cost of senior living.
For qualified applicants, Vintage Senior Living offers an automatic debt plan that allows direct payments to be made from your bank account, eliminating paper transactions and hassles. Vintage Senior Living also offers cost savings in the form of a Shared Suites Option, where Vintage matches you with a roommate to share living expenses and apartment space.
