None of the nuring staff care for you.
The staff ignore you when you page or even physically go to the desk an ask for help.
the staff tell you oh ill be right there or ill send someone there an the staff does not come in.
The staff plain out neglect you an act like it is a inconvienace.
The staff is there for just a paycheck an sit on their back side.
Medically none of the staff is qualified peoperly..
One of my many visits to this facility i seen neglect so bad to the point where the patient had died as a reault of it.
The patient had a surgery wound that was infected an burst open bleeding, called for help an the nurses trwated it like it was nothing came in to the room put gauze on it asked the patient to hold presure an walked out, by the time they came back over an hour later the patient had died..
The facility does not allow its patients to have a phone on the room for family an friends to call, this facility has one cordless phone an why you use their phone they sit there an listen to your conversation an limit you.
This facility does not allow you to have a personal cell phone they take it away from you.
When you get admitted they make you sign papers even if you disagree with what it says or they refuse to let you stay which is against the law.
It looks nice on the out side an hell on the inside..
Please do not send your family here to die because they will from neglect.
I could go in an on with more things to say i can back up everything i say with recordings, video, pictures an proof this place NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN....

Response: Are you sure that you have the correct facility? Neglect never!! I have never heard of such thing. The issues that was stated about a patient dying did not happen at least I had not heard that. My father was in that facility from 2015 to September 2016 with no complaints. Staff joked with him and he had no care issues that I am aware of.
Granted every facility has their issues, but for you to make those horrible accusations just isn't fair. Maybe your stay was not the best...on the other hand you may have the wrong facility. I heard horror story of the high desert facilities, but not this one.
He loves Apple Valley Post Acute center. This is second time there. The patients Apple Valley Post Acute center has the ability to keep there person phones (he had his at the bedside). The patients in isolation have phone at the bedside, those who are not in isolation use the cordless phone if they want. The food is ok could be better. The staff is wonderful, caring and fun. Apple Valley Post Acute is a very busy with rehab which means that the staff is very busy. Yes the nurses answers the call lights and find out what is needed and at times say they will be back... and they do return. I never heard anything about a patient dying the whole time I was there.

Every person that is admitted to this facility has an admission packet that is filled out. The same concept as any hospital and doctor's office before you are treated which is a standard process.
No, I don't fill that the facility should be shut down. There are some facilities in the high desert I fell that should....This is not the one of them. My father spent less than a week in one of the other facility and I had to move him. That's how he ended up at Apple Valley. Thank God

Response: I Agree are you sure you have the right facility? My grandma stood at this facility in 2014. She loved it there. Her favorite time was Bingo. She had a personal phone that we paid for every month. You can have a cell phone but our family didn't want my grandma to misplace it. This facility is very busy so I would expect the nurses to take longer then expected. Unfortunately it is not one on one care. But from what I experienced they do their best. My grandmother is not with us any longer or I would have her respond. I'm sorry you had a bad experience but I don't believe the staff would just let a man die.

Response: In 2014 it was a not for profit Christian care facility..... That has changed and everything negative that the previous reviewer stated is accurate in regards to care and attitude of the staff. I have talked to others from the High Desert that have had family here recently and they agree this is a horrible facility. Medicare rated it only 1 star out of 5

Nothing about this facility is good. Every aspect of it is extremely poor. The administrator Brian McCormick doesn't know the first thing about running a care facility. He will tell you just about anything you want to hear just to get you out the door. I swear the guy has memory loss he doesn't remember speaking to you about anything and acts as if he doesn't know who you are when you come back into the doors to follow up on the complaint you made. You can tell by the way he carry a himself that he has no sympathy nor care for the patients or even the staff for that matter. He is purely in the business for the money and that's it. A business such a healthcare demands caring people and he is far from it.

This facility does not really deserve any stars, I'm saddened to say. I've lived in the high desert since 1988, where this facility is located. I have several cna friends (certifed NURSES assistants, they are the ones who actually do all the hands on care of patients) who have worked there in the past. All of them quit because they couldn't stand seeing the neglect. In fact one of them told me a horror story of an elderly woman who was choking and her roommate kept calling for help. When my friend went in to visit the woman who was asking for help (my friend was no longrr working there at the time but was visiting this lady), she notice her elder friend crying about her roommate that no one came in to check on. When my friend looked over at her friend's roommate, she had already passed away! My friend was hysterical! Apparently she told me the roommate was choking and it was to late. You may want to investigate them with the state and ombudsmen before considering working there or leaving a loved one in there.

Apple Valley Christian Care Center is an amazing facility to send your family member, between Acute Care Hospital and Home. We have very loving and compassionate staff, who are here 24/7. Our facility is clean, and free of odors. I would recommend our facility to anyone in need of skilled nursing care. :)

Response: This place is totally the opposite of your review. You know very well that this facility neglects their patients. I have seen neglect with my own eyes. I am in the process of filing a complaint the the dept of aging

Response: How can you sit there an lue when people have proof videos, pictures, recordings of neglect your fa
    Facility caused..
Your facility smells like a sewer, fecal matter everywhere, only 4 cannels to watch on the tv some rooms dont even have one.
You control your patients like they are in prison, they do not get the care they need they are clearly neglected, upur staff is nothing close to being nice they are rude an talk bad about the patients in the facility an complain how much they hate their jobs.
You do not have anyway of the patients being able to contact family, uou only have 1 phone you allow patients yo use an they are watched an listened to why they use it an limited to using it for a short time.
You dont allow your patients to have outside contact unless it is monitored by you, they cant have their personal phones...

This establishment is unprofessinal. One younge lady was taking a personal phone call and the other one was just playing on her phone while I needed assistence in the room, and after standing there and eye contact was made still the younge ladys had no need to help or ask if I needed anyting! When i asked for more water she said I already gave him some water when he got here mind you that, that was over 3 hours ago. And proceeded to tell me that there was still ice in the cup, like he was supposed to eat the ice, or wait until it melted. I felt they have no conserating for other peoples needs, I do understand that there are MANY other people ther that need help just as well as my father did, but i ask them to just act like there are on top of it! First impressions last!!!
