This place is HORRID! The doctor assigned by Danville Nursing Care saw my mother only once - the evening she was admitted. Even then, he rushed in, saying his wife was in the car waiting, and rushed out, never to be seen again in the 21 days my mother was there. Administrative staff actually admitted they would not recognize him if they saw him. While in the Home, my mother had a COPD event in the middle of the night and was taken to the ER of San Ramon Regional Hosp. She was discharged from the ER in the morning with orders to have 24/7 oxygen but, because the order didn't come from the Home's doctor and he wasn't answering phones/pagers, she was denied oxygen -- until I came in and called a Code Blue. The nurse argued that she wasn't "like that" five minutes before -- white as a sheet, unconscious with blue lips. This Home and the "ghost" doctor almost killed my mother due to lack of attention and sheer stupidity. And... the nurse who actually paid attention to the patient and called for my mom to go to the ER was fired yet the nurse who denied her treatment and ignored her was promoted.
