I visited my uncle at this facility recently, and was very pleased with the place as well as the staff. The only complaint he had was that the food was just so-so. He does have a family member there with him most of the time, and the staff has been very helpful and kind to all.

My mother displayed fear when I waneded to call someone to change her wet disposable underwear. She said not to call anyone because they would take it out on her. When asked how they would do this, she responded, "They will slap me on my face," As her dauhter, I don't know what to do. I know as her daughter, that my mother has never lied about anything.

My father was in this place for a week. Staff did not either respond to the call bell or it took a long time. On several occasions He was told to just go ahead and @#$% in the bed and They would clean it up later. I ended up going there several times to clean him up myself. SHAME on this disgusting nasty place. I also look in public record and founds some unsavory history of lawsuits and litigation. Definately ggo elsewhere

While a patient was in hospital, the patient's belongings were packed and stored without giving the family at least 24 hours notice to check that everything was accounted for and in good condition!

While a Certified Nurse Assistant was assisting a patient in a wheelchair with leg exercises, the wheelchair fell backwards and the patient’s head hit the floor. The resulting emergency room diagnosis was concussion and the patient had to have sutures.
A patient with breathing problems, low blood pressure, etc. had to insist three times that a Certified Nurse Assistant call an ambulance for transport to an emergency room before any action was taken. The emergency room doctor diagnosed pneumonia and admitted the patient to hospital for three days.
Encinitas Nursing and Rehab. is obviously an organization that focuses on monetary profit.
