I know quite a few people that work at Indio nursing and rehab center, they are great workers and love their jobs. They are treated like garbage by the people that run that place. Always getting written up for stuff they have no control over and being threatened of getting fired. LVN's in charge of RN'S, that is wrong. The management needs an overhaul. It's obvious the management is unhappy and overusing their authority and taking it out on the employees that actually do the work they were trained to do. The management their sucks.

This place needs to restaff their employees , their nursing staff lacks in their work & attitudes in every way. Would not recoment this place at all my mother stayed only for recovery thank god! but felt sorry for the full time residence their. They dont take their job serious also they think they come to party high music all night in which they ignore the call button in which they avoided on giving my mom her pain meds for 5hrs! plus staff laughs thinks its all fun & games

My father was in this facility for a few weeks. It was old and run down. The reception furniture looked like something Goodwill would have refused. My fathers window over looked a storage/trash area. The shared bathroom was a joke. It was not suitable for older sick feeble people. Then there was the air duct over his bed. He was cold all the time, and guess what there was no way to close it.The one saving grace was the nurses.Thry did work hard and were overworked. So when I saw 5 stars on your rating it was to much.Again may I add the food was terrible. My 90 year old father came out of there about 8lbs lighter.

Response: I apologize for the poor experience your father had at Indio Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. As the Administrator here, I take your concerns very seriously and will relay them to my staff. I am happy to here the staff and nurses were friendly and respectful. Your father should have received a therapy evaluation and treatment the day he was admitted. That is customary. If that did not happen, I sincerely apologize. Although it does not matter to you now, the facility has recenly undergone a major renovation (including the lobby furniture which I agree, looked like it belonged at Goodwill). Again, I'm sorry for the poor experience you had. For those current or future residents or families, if there are any concerns, my door is always open.

Response: Sorry to have the need to post this but as an Administator maybe you need to pop up unexpected every now & then at night & see how the nurses party & play music at night. My mom only sayed for rehab but its So respectful for the elders who stay full time. My mom was left crying for pain meds, was left to ask for Not a staff member for help to walk to bathroom, lied to when asked for clean sheets when ice pack was left on her leg melt fully & damped the sheets they told my mom their was no clean sheets 4hrs later 2nd shift came in & nurse asked my mom why she wasnt givin sheets my mom told her previous nuse said they had no clean sheets ,also once we complained some staff was eben more colder & rude & giggled when we came in to visit. The staff is too young straight out of vocational school where they need more experiance to start at somewhere else all my mom liked their & talked good about was your physical ther-unit & staff
