Don't let the ritzy building and the ever so fake kindness of the management fool you. The ED is absolutely horrible. I worked here for three years and just quit a couple months ago. I heard the "F" word come out of the Executive Directors mouth daily, and ended up quitting due to physical abuse from the management. I witnessed several accounts of illegal activity all of which has been reported. Please for the sake of your elder family member DO NOT choose Oakdale.

I am surprised that the facility doesn't have good diabetic food options. I see some people being served pie and those who are diabetic have the option of jello. They should stock pancake syrups and desserts that are diabetic approved so those residents aren't denied sweet treats. I also don't feel that the staff makes an effort to draw residents out. I know that my loved one tends to seclude herself b/c she is timid about making new friends. I don't feel the staff helped her out at all.

Very disappointed with current staff quality. So called director is not ever available! Very poor communication with the caregiver/families of resident.

I love working for Oakdale Heights Assisted Living. The professionalism of the staff from caregivers to the executive director is unmatched anywhere else! I love our residents and it is such an honor to work with them and their loved ones.
