I've worked for this company in many different capacities and have traveled between 4 states overseeing 13 properties on the West Coast; I've seen some great properties and some not so great. I'm very proud to work for this company and be stationed at Sierra Oaks. I love that we are one big family and that we all truly care about the residents and staff. It's a very rewarding feeling to have a resident give you a hug or tell you they love you. It's always a pleasure to hear from a family that we've made a difference in their lives and the life of their loved one before they've passed away.

I'm truly honored to be a part of this experience in these wonderful people's lives and appreciate that families choose us to care for their loved ones.

    Letter from Family Member 2013:
    Sierra Oaks Staff & Administration,
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you did for my mom in the last year.
She was comfortable here. She counted you as her friends.
She relied on you for help.
And I appreciate the patient care and comfort you provided her. I know your job is not easy but you do it with grace. Thank you for everything.

Description of Sierra Oaks Assisted Living in REDDING, CA

    Built In 1988 , Number of Beds : 100

Providing assisted living, independent living, memory care, hospice and respite services, Sierra Oaks Senior Living has a wide range of services and amenities in a warm, friendly environment. Assisted living, geared toward individuals who want to live with some level of independence but occassionally need a little assistance, is the fastest growing, long-term care option for seniors. Living in a senior community has many advantages. Research suggests that seniors who live near their peers and have a variety of social activities feel a greater sense of well-being. With assisted living, you'll enjoy senior-friendly homes and a welcoming staff. Other services you'll find include around-the-clock supervision and security, access to professional nurses, emergency call systems, help with daily living, and nutritious meals prepared by chefs. These communities typically provide housekeeping, laundry, transportation, and a calendar of social events. Independent living is designed for seniors who are self-reliant but who want to enjoy a worry-free life. Developed for both individuals and couples, these senior communities are also known as retirement villages, 55+ communities, and senior apartments. Residents stay in private apartments or individual homes with a range of community amenities, services, and programs tailored just for seniors. You’ll enjoy your own space, so you can bring your favorite belongings, such as furniture and personal items. With independent living, residents won't have to worry about maintenance, mowing, or other chores associated with home ownership. Because independent living communities are intended for older adults who need little or no assistance, most do not offer medical care or supervision. You’ll find many social programs and community amenities, such as gardening, bridge, bingo, fitness programs, book clubs, and planned outings. Memory care offers the highest level of support, consistent memory enrichment programs, and increased security for your loved one. Memory care is different from the care provided in assisted living, requiring a staff that is trained in memory care. Residents live in private or semi-private studio homes with twenty-four-hour supervision. Three nutritious meals a day plus snacks are provided, as well as housekeeping and laundry services. Structured activities designed specifically for memory impairment offer intellectual stimulation. Communities typically have secured areas, such as walking paths and gardens, for residents to access. Other important services include behavioral therapies, continence care, medication management, and assistance with bathing and grooming. Reside at Sierra Oaks Senior Living and enjoy a relaxing lifestyle, where residents can enjoy conversation and meet new friends. In this community, assisted living, independent living, memory care, hospice and respite services are provided. The help you'll find at assisted living communities is offered as necessary, with the goal of supplying the support services required to stay as self-reliant as possible. Independent living is designed for seniors who are self-reliant but who want to enjoy a worry-free life. Memory care offers the highest level of support, memory enhancement programs, and social opportunities, all in a secure, warm setting. If you are looking for the perfect assisted living, independent living, memory care, hospice and respite services for you or a loved one, call today to find out more.
