02/12/2013 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: My husband was a long term patient, eventually on Hospice for the last few months of his life. I can honestly say he received the very best of care and I had peace of mind knowing he was very happy there and that the nursing staff was taking excellent care of him. No facility is perfect, we had our issues but this is where he wanted to be, Redlands Healthcare Center is by far one of the best facilities I have found, but like any nursing home, do your homework, and stay on top of your loved one's care! It is all about the money, afterall. I knew he was well cared for here, all his needs were met to my satisfaction. The nurses were exceptional, not so much the management.

06/13/2012 An Interested Visitor Writes: I went and visited this place to see a friend of mine. The minute I step in there I can tell already there's already an issue going on and I was right they were short on staff. How could you be short on staff? Don't they have a back up staff? Or do they not stric enough with the staffs? And I was in my friend room and I overheard people talking, I'm not sure who but I'm assuming it was the DON and the other employee were discussing an issue between a resident and the CNA ... IN THE HALLWAY! And the way I heard the DON talked she is not very professional. She looked down on the staff, don't even care how they feel or hear their explanation ... She just want to blame it on the staff. I just couldn't believe that. Another thing I see when I was there was during dinner I guess they supposedly to have what they call RNA but I guess that day when I was there the RNA is not there so the 2 CNA has to stay there in the dining room to help out. Another issues about staffing. Another thing I notice when I stopped by to dropped something for my friend in the afternoon there's a lot of conversations between staff going on inthe hallways, nursing station... In language that I don't even understand. Isn't it's supposed to be a professional settings? This place maybe a good place but I think it need changes in some of the department staffing to make it more appropriate place and to make it a better environment for people to live there to leave their loved one. I'm just a friend of a resident who stays there not for too long. But my friend got some good CNA's from station 1.

04/09/2012 An Current/Past Employee Writes: Redlands Healthcare Center is a true gem . I have worked in the healthcare industry for many years and this facility has a very close knit staff. 04/29/2011 An OurParents User Writes: arrests which include beating his child so severely that the child is handicapped. The first week of March, I called Redlands Healthcare Center and pretended to be looking for a job. I spoke to the hiring manager, her name is IRMA, I asked if I had a criminal record, would I be able to work there, she said no. I said that is interesting because I knew for a fact that OMAR STRAWDER has a record for violence related issues, alcohol related arrests and is a self admitted rapist. I got all of this information by speaking to a San Bernardino County Detective. She got off the phone rather quickly, Omar then reported that he was scared they were going to do a background check and he was going to be fired. They called him in and FINALLY initiated a a background check but only AFTER I made this call. He has been working there for quite some time. IF they hire this violent, alcoholic criminal, without conducting a background check, HOW SAFE ARE YOUR RELATIVES?

Response: Whoever wrote this comment needs to please get their information straight because they can get sued for defamation of character. This is a very serious accusation and someone shouldn't be writing information like this that is NOT TRUE. If anyone checks the directory at the SNF, "Irma" is not even a Director of Staff Development. So it makes you think what else is NOT true about this statement.

Response: I'm ready to defend myself and expose that RHC nursing facility hires people who have criminal records. I'd LOVE to expose the failure of the RHC to keep the vulnerable patients safe by doing background checks prior to employing Rapists, Violent Alcoholics and Child abusers. Do you really believe that I would post something if I could not prove it? If you do, you're not as smart as you think you are.
I can prove that I called there and spoke to IRMA... Oh and yeah, I can prove everything I have written, so no need to be aware on my part because I have facts on my side :) Good Luck to you, and next time you see OMAR STRAWDER tell him that what he has done in the dark, will come back to him in sunshine! I have phone records, taped conversations and Omar probably has them too! I have witnesses!

12/23/2010 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: Horrible and very dirty. Time to start over, remodel at the least.
