My grandfather was there for almost a year before we moved him. The staff told my grandmother that they would take great care of him...time and time again my family would go there and find that they were leaving my grandfather in the hallway or not getting to his Physical therapy. We gave many chances to get it right. But in the end we moved him. As of right now my grandfather has been deceased for over a year and my grandmother has begun to get bills for his care and when we go to his insurance to find out why we have the bill the insurance company says they never received the bills and for us not to pay. As of this week my grandmother, who is 83, has gotten a certified letter in the mail stating that they are sending her bill to collections!!!!!! Eventhough we have all called and explained to the business office that we are told by his insurance company not to pay and that Quaker Gardens needs to talk with the insurance company. I have called the insurance company today and they say Quaker Gardens has not sent them the needed information nor have they called. How can this place call themselves christian when they are harassing and scaring my grandmother!!! My grandmother has yet to be able to grieve my grandfathers passing because of all the bills this place sends. WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT LET YOUR LOVED ONE LIVE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Number of Beds : 58

Assisted living offers help on an as-needed basis, with the goal of providing the support that helps seniors stay as self-reliant as possible. There are many reasons for living in an assisted living community. Research suggests that seniors who live near their peers and have a variety of social activities feel a greater sense of well-being. Assisted living provides senior-friendly housing and a caring staff. Other services you'll find include around-the-clock supervision and security, access to professional nurses, emergency call systems, help with daily living, and nutritious meals prepared by chefs. These communities typically provide linen service, housekeeping, transportation, and a calendar of social events. For seniors who can care for themselves but who want to enjoy a low-maintenance life, independent living is the ideal choice. Tailored for both individuals and couples, these senior communities are also known as retirement villages, 55+ communities, and senior apartments. Residents stay in private apartments or individual homes with a variety of community amenities, services, and programs tailored just for seniors. You’ll enjoy your own space, so you can bring your favorite belongings, such as furniture and personal items. With independent living, residents won't have to worry about maintenance, mowing, or other chores associated with home ownership. Because independent living communities are intended for older adults who need little or no assistance, most do not offer medical care or supervision. You'll find many social programs and community amenities, such as gardening, bridge, bingo, fitness programs, book clubs, and planned outings. Memory care offers the highest level of support, consistent memory enrichment programs, and increased security for your loved one. Seniors with Alzheimer's or dementia need a compassionate, specially-trained staff. Residents live in private or semi-private studio homes with twenty-four-hour supervision. Three nutritious meals a day plus snacks are provided, as well as housekeeping and laundry services. Structured activities designed specifically for memory impairment bring intellectual stimulation. Communities typically have secured areas, such as walking paths and gardens, for residents to access. Other important services include behavioral therapies, continence care, medication management, and assistance with bathing and grooming. Continuing care retirement communities (CCRC) provide a complete care platform, from independent living to assisted living to skilled nursing care. In-home care is accessible when you or a loved one needs it. Skilled professionals come to your home. This choice is perfect for those who prefer to stay in their homes but who need some help with the daily activities of living. Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, services are paid by the client or by a variety of public and private sources, such as Medicare and/or Medicaid. Home care delivers a variety of medical and non-medical support services. There are two types of home care providers. The first is a skilled service provider, usually licensed nurses and therapists, who can meet various medical concerns or rehabilitation needs. The second, more common, type of in-home care is supplied by an aide who can provide companionship and emotional support as well as assist with daily activities, including grooming, meal prep, and transportation. For seniors who prefer to stay in their own homes where it's familiar, in-home care allows them to stay indepedent. Nursing homes provide skilled care for seniors who need continuous, long-term medical attention or shorter-term rehabilitation. The level of care depends on the medical needs of each resident, but typically residents receive nursing support and daily assistance with the activities of living, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing. Most residents share a room, with nutritious meals offered in a central dining room. An activity director plans an activity and events plan to nurture mental, physical, and social well-being. Assisted living offers help on an as-needed basis, with the goal of supplying the support required to stay as self-reliant as possible.
