The next #ElderCareChat will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, from 1-2 pm ET with guest panelist Debbie Wiegand, director of operations for The GREEN HOUSE Project.
Via The GREEN HOUSE Project Twitter account (@GreenHouse_Proj), Wiegand will lead us in a discussion about how innovations in senior care, and how The GREEN HOUSE Project is leading the way for long-term care solutions that are rooted in a philosophy that is person-directed and takes a relationship rich-based approach.
The GREEN HOUSE model is built around three core values: a real home, characterized by a physical environment that looks residential rather than institutional; an empowered staff; and emphasis on creating a meaningful life for residents.
Wiegand is responsible for growing the culture change movement in long-term care through use of the Green House model. The number of Green House homes has rapidly expanded over the past 15 years, and it is therefore critical to protect the investment beyond brick and mortar. Wiegand’s role is to support, deepen, and enhance the cultural transformation of partnering organizations to ensure there is consistency, growth, sustainability and a thread of continuity.
Wiegand has spent her entire career as a licensed nursing home administrator, engaging in and leading transformative change in the field of long-term care. With more than seven years experience as a project guide with The GREEN HOUSE Project, she has become deeply knowledgeable and has developed a critical eye for growth opportunities. Her experience in operations, culture change, design, and education provides the necessary insight to partner with visionary leaders desiring the best future possible for elders.
