As a rehab patient with three separate stays over weeks at a time, I can genuinely recommend Brookside Inn. They were always kind and treated myself and other residents with utmost love and respect. I watched how they treated nonverbal and declining patients, and they too, were well cared for. I not only would request go go back there if ever needed, but, would trust their staff with my own family. They take care of you physically, emotionally, and spiritually, when needed and provide opportunities that someone at home could not access. Engaging and fun activities, opportunities for caring friendships, and a complete staff that is there for you. They are truly a family away from home when someone needs it the most!

My Grandmother had been at Brookside. I blame them for her passing. We the family had noted her declining over several days and asked the nursing staff to please call the doctor and do tests. They said they would but never did. It wasn't until I insisted and threatened to call the health department that they finally took us serious. And sure enough she had pneumonia and she subsequently died as a result. She could have been treated easier if they took their care more serious. Not only did they not call the Doctor, they didnt even write notes about it in her chart. The building frequently smells of urine. We were told so many good things before we put her at Brookside but the staff were unfriendly and uncaring.

I had a family member there. The staff was not receptive to our requests. Often smelled of urine.
