This is such a beautiful home with so many services to be offered to guests and their family/friends. The staff is engaging, warm, friendly, kind, knowledgeable, willing to educate on resources on any topic and well connected in this community. Having had experience with this home and their rehab Highlands rehabilitation I would highly recommend Spring Creek Healthcare Center for any inpatient or outpatient needs to my community.

One year later from my experience and the very poor conditions at this facility remain. Why are they allowed to continue to operate! Does anyone care about the poor people who have no recourse but to go to this facility? My neighbors and friends luckily (as I) managed to get as far away from this facility as possible. Medicare and Insurers are you looking into this at all??????

“My former wife was recently in for physical therapy after a hospital stay at Spring Creek Health Care Center in Fort Collins. Her treatment, the facilities, the food, and the overall care were sub-par, almost sub-human. They never did an evaluation with a qualified therapist; they fed her chicken almost every meal, and they have mixed genders in many of the rooms. She finally escaped after five days.
This is a facility in the Humana Medicare HMO network. Doesn't Humana and Medicare have at least minimum standards for rehab facilities? Under any reasonable standards, Spring Creek would not qualify as a facility. How do we give feedback to the appropriate authorities and see that they get their justified deserts? Humana paid for five days of absolutely worthless care. No wonder our medical costs keep rising; there isn't nearly enough accountability for care, be it doctor charges, hospital charges, or in this case rehab treatment and cost.
If I had lived in the Fort Collins area, there would have been hell to pay; but, living on the East Coast, I simply had to listen in frustration to the tale of woes and abusive treatment (including failing to give her the blood pressure medicine she needs to keep her pressure under 200 for the entire 5 days; good thing she got out before they killed her!).”

As a member of the community, I visit spring creek health care on a regular bases to visit with the residents. I have never had a bad experience or seen on while there. The staff is amazing while dealing with the residents, I've seen so many reaidents on the rehab side come in not being able to walk and when the discharge they are walking. The food selection is wonderful and have a ton of choices, has that restaurant style feel. Very proud to be apart of this facility as a member of the community! I would encourage anyone to bring their loved ones here

Do NOT put your loved one in this facility--ever!

The only thing that is good about this facility are the aides and the residents. The halls are understaffed causing the aides to fall behind and keep them from being able to take anytime to make their patient feel important. The nurses dont help at alland dont care about the patients the managment is terrible they act nice to the families of the residents but do mot treat the staff well. When I was visiting my mother I saw an aide acknowledge the d.o.n.(director of nursing )and the d.o.n. simply ignored her and walked past her. The. A.d.o.n (assistant director of nursing) is not even properly licensed she is only an lpn and not qualified enough to hold that position. At this facility my mother was doing terribly we then moved her to columbine and she did great now she is back at homeand made a full recovery. I would never let another family member live there or work there just terrible they should be shut. down!

Greatly understaffed for the number of patients in he facility. Typically cannot reach patients by phone as room phone go through the nurse stations, and the these stations are rarely manned. Some nurses are rude to the patients, seems management has little control on staff behavior. Satff doctor dominearing and attempts to interfere with patients other doctors.

If my mother was sick and needed care this wouldn't be the place I would bring her, The food is not great, the nurses really don't seem to care about the patients. They are not helpfully with their aides. The place isn't clean rooms are nasty and smelly. I really can't understand why they are still open.
