User Reviews

This was a difficult time in my families life and Heather and the entire staff provided support and encouragement to help our family find peace in the aging process. I know my mother was taken care of and comfortable in her new home. Plus they are always doing an activity and having constant interaction with the terrific staff! I know this was an out of pocket program but was worth every penny. My mom deserved it!

They provide a higher level of service for the elderly which can include preparing meals, housekeeping, medication assistance, laundry, and also do regular check-in's on the residents. Basically, they are designed to bridge the gap between independent living and nursing home facilities. When thinking about how to pay for care, assisted living facilities are generally less expensive than nursing homes, if assisted living is a viable option for your loved one.

I, Heather Neyer, owner of Joyfully Living Life Homes, would like to introduce you to our assisted living residence. We are a facility, which specializes in care for people with Alzheimer?s?type dementia. We have a residential setting and a family feeling. Joyfully Living Life Homes is our name and it is our philosophy. We have given a lot of thought to the care and life quality of persons experiencing dementia or Alzheimer?s. At JLL Homes, we strive always to make a positive difference in the lives of each person we care for. We believe that the closing years of life should be as meaningful and loving as possible. Our orientation and our beliefs are expressed in the following: ? We believe most people with Alzheimer?s-type dementia function best in an intimate family-like setting, with perhaps four to six other people. ? We believe in the concept and techniques which we call ?The Approach,? which includes Validation Therapy, Good Morning, healing touch and much more. With The Approach, we believe our residents are less anxious and angry, which could reduce the need for medications, but this is not to say that in some cases medications could not be helpful. Residents are encouraged to feel good about them- selves. Their memory loss is never challenged by saying they are incorrect. They are made to feel safe and comfortable. We respect their dignity and their individuality. ? Everyone needs to make choices and to know they are worthwhile and needed. With the Approach technique, our residents are encouraged to be involved in making appropriate choices. ? We try to have outings at least once a week. Whenever possible, it is important for our residents to do the things they are used to, like shopping at the mall, rides in the country, grocery shopping?making choices. ? We encourage our residents to have a positive outlook, to wake each morning looking forward to the day. ? Activities and schedules can be individually designed for a resident?s special needs and preferences. ? We strive to be sensitive to a persons feeling of self-worth. ?I did a good job? are the words or the feelings we encourage from our residents. Joyfully Living Life Homes is licensed as an Assisted Living Residence by the State of Colorado. We are also active members of the Colorado Assissted Living Association. Thank you for your attention. Please call if we can be of assistance to you or your client, or to schedule a visit. Sincerely, Heather Neyer Administrator
