I was an employee at Elms haven care center for 6 long years. I have seen the ends and outs of this facility I would NOT recommend this nusing home! I have witnessed an employee smack a resident and management did NOTHING about it when I reported it. I have worked as the only aid on Garden the "Independent" unit that has around 50 residents. I have seen mice in the beds with residents, I have had to wash pads and cloth diapers because we had none to use. I had to wake residents up at 4am to get them dressed because we were going to be short on day shift. I have seen bed sores down to the bone. The Alzheimer's unit was NOT a safe place to work they only had 1 aid working in a locked unit at night. one night one of the aids was cornered against a wall by a male resident that was hitting her. If you have a loved one at this facilty that is not independent or variable I would reconsider.

This place is awful! This is the worst nursing home I have ever seen. Dr. Worley should have his license stripped from him. My grandpa was in this nursing home for about a month. While he was there they kept him wheel chair bound, in diapers and on a liquid diet. We thought he had months to live. He was so depressed while he was there. We realized what an awful place Elms Haven was and we decided to move him to Keystone Place. The place we moved him to is half the cost of Elms Haven. He is now walking, talking and eating a solid food diet (in just 2 weeks). Dr. Worley is not a doctor he is a con artist and evil! He would rather keep his patients drugged then to help them live a full life. And now to top off our experience with Elms Haven, they ordered multiple (expensive) test on my grandpa the day we were going to move him. Just one more plug to get money from a little old man! If your considering this place I'm warning you now, don't do it! You'll regret what they do to your family members.
