They turn off the heat except for when families come (nights/weekends). Several areas reek of mold. Under the flight path of Westchester airport, frequent odor of jet fuel outside the window. Like most nursing homes, understaffed, argumentative aides, belligerent nurses in particular one who spends a lot of time discussing politics with her "boo" assistant rather than working. Younger vocal residents get the most attention from the overworked staff, and incontinent patients are left unchanged for as long as 5 hours. Upper level staffers are relaxed, more concerned with minimizing complaints than addressing their real problems. Problems with medications.

Not the worst place but not the best either. Registration will tell you what their policies are but in real life, they don't enforce them well enough. They are for-profit and their staff levels are sometimes too low. The nursing and aid staff have resigned themselves to their lot so don't expect immediate support. They will help you when they have free time not based on importance.
