Beacon Brook is an average nursing home. Most of the staff are very helpful and polite but there are a few staff people who should never be working with the elderly. I've personally seen staff discipline residents. One of my parents complained of being slapped. I've seen golf ball size welts.I've seen a member of the staff take something away from a resident because the resident dropped it too often ( hearing aid). I've also seen residents disciplined by having them sit in their wheelchairs at the front desk for hours at a time, against their will, because the staff considered them a nuisance (overuse of a call button).
