Wonderful place, mom has been here for 4 years. Staff are excellent, very accommodating to our needs. The dementia support group is amazing, really helped our family through a difficult time. Keep up the good work.

Staff friendliness really made our descsion to place my father real easy. Just a real nice, home like feel. Staff are always willing to go above and beyond to care for residents. I gives my sister and I great peace of mind to know dad is well cared for. 5 stars for Foulk Manor South

Don't go here. The state should shut them down. "Caregivers"--especially what now supposedly qualify as registered nurses--are just plain evil.

Excellent care, new DON and Administrator were really involved and made us feel at ease with our decision to place mom in the dememtia unit. Thank you for all you do. This is what the standard for health care should be.

Very bad place. No care at all. When I visited, I would answer some of the residents' pleas for help, because no one else was coming to do it. Can't understand any of the staff in memory care--their African accents are too heavy. Question: How do they think a 90-year-old with dementia handles this? Answer: They don't care.

Staff are very caring and kind to my mother. New nursing Director is very good. The new Administrator is friendly and very hands on and responsvie to our concerns for mom. Overall we are very pleased with our decsion to place our mother in the hands of these caring people.

Response: You are so right about the last Executive Director--Brenda did not know her job and she was just plain ignorant and rude. All she knew how to do was dress nice. They were mean to my mother in there. I reported them, but, of course, these places always have all their I's dotted and T's crossed. They get away with whatever they want to do. This was absolutely the worst place, though. We yanked our mother out of there. We thought they were going to kill her.

I will say that this facility just hired a new administrator who has made some significant changes for the better. He is very involved and solves problems. I have noticed a difference in the care of my mother and have spoken with other family members who agree. I do believe that the facility definitely has some work to do but they are on track to become just a reputable as any other senior care facility. I would recommend Foulk Manor Southto anyone who needs care.

01/20/2012  -  An OurParents User Writes:

Terrible place. They either let my father fall or hit him in the face, broke his arm and nose. One week later he "fell" again--back to the hospital. The staff is secretive and reluctant to speak to family members. If I could rate it zero stars I would. I would not let them care for my dog.

    Response: when did this happen?
