I have visited many nursing homes and this has to be the worst one I have ever experienced. The nursing staff is poorly trained and poorly managed, they did not have enough basic supplies like diapers, gauze etc. It takes about an hour for the call light to be answered and when they enter the room they come in with an attitude. The Director of Nursing does not address your concerns she seems overworked, lost and confused, everything I said she just kept on repeating it. On top of that they billing me for services I did not receive. Oh and make sure you check your medications thoroughly because several times i caught nurses dispensing the wrong pills. It is not safe, I would not recommend it at all.

My uncle was a patient at Boca Rehab for almost 1 year. My family and I were completely dissatisfied with this facility. He was given a room with a nonworking TV, and was promised a new TV to be mounted on the wall; that never happened despite our asking every week. This is a big deal for someone who is bedridden. Also, we were told by the sales personnel when he first moved in that he could eat in the dining room since was able to sit up and feed himself. However, he was given all meals in his bed, and many days the staff was too lazy to get him dressed, and left him in his pajamas all day. I really think that this type of isolation contributed to his decline...if he had been dressed and wheeled out of his room perhaps to the commumity room or dining room once in a while, he may have felt more hopeful. Many of the nurses were lazy and rude and did not speak English. To top it all off, on the day he passed away in December, the nurse on duty called my home number about a dozen times, despite the fact that they had my cell phone on file. If you need to notify the next-of-kin of an important matter, wouldn't you contact them on their cell phone rather than calling the house a dozen times when no one is obviously home. I would definitely not recommend Boca Rehab. My uncle was a wonderful man, and did not deserve to live his last days in this manner.

Three patient beds packed into a room like sardines. Bed up against one curtain and about 7 feet if that to the next curtain. Unlivable for any conscious being!
