.The staff were awful , unskilled, not thorough or responsive, there was a lack of staff .coverage , average wait time after my father rang help bell was 35 minutes but was as kong as one hour at times . He had to wear diapers as they never got him to bathroom in time and often left him sitting there .
We had to keep telling them what meds he had to get, rhey often forgot to flush pic line , they took blood and sent father to hospital saying he needed a transfusion. And hospital did blood draw and his hemoglobin was fune he didn't need a transfusion at all.
No communication with each other, family, or patien, they even had no idea how to reach their own staff doctors giving us wring number in paper work and verbally
Family meeting set up and the social worker resigned and they has dietician run meeting who walked out saying , she makes tooo little to do this and doesn't even know anything about discharge planning, and further had no clue what to do as far as planning fur discharge
We often spoke with administrator and director of nursing who yes us to death but did nothing One day they told father he was leaving in the morning but never told us nor did dr discharge him. They also told us he had a blood clot in his leg. When I asked to see report it clearly said no blood clot found. Yet they were giving him a medication for that. They broke my fathers walker and reguse to fix or replace
Food always arrived cold and although they have an outside patio in back there is no automatic door open or close and a huge unleveled threshold that wheel chairs cant get over plus no way to summon help. So once you are out there no one knows , can see you nor way for patient to get help if needed or even get back in. ( most patients are in wheelchairs)
If you place a loved one here you need to watch and monitor. Closely. I feejs sorry for those that are here that have no on3 to monitor or advocate
I will day. This place was very clean and food was decent

The staff is not responsive in a timely manner. It takes a very long to get a nurse, aide, etc to respond. The food is awful. All it can say that is positive is that the private rooms look decent.

The staff is concerned about watching television while the patients are left alone. The food lacks nutrition. The management will milk every last nickel out of each persons medicare. It is a great profit center for the House doctor and keeps her busy but I doubt she could find work elsewhere. I would avoid this place. My sister stayed there for three weeks.

Response: Delusional. I just read a fairy tale.

This is the best nursing home in the area, bar none. My mother was in two other local nursing homes, so I have seen it all. The nursing staff is superior, they are attentive to each resident. The nutritionist is superb, adjusted my mom's diet and increased her protein intake. The aides actually are proactive and ask if they can help, unbelievable. The food is even tasty, plentiful and their ice cream social is very well attended. Activities like Bingo, games, trivia, entertainment, religious services and more will keep your loved one very busy. The place is clean, everybody is cheerful and smiling, the overall atmosphere is just plain uplifting.

Response: I don't understand this review, maybe they got this place confused with another. Or the Boynton Health Care Center has done a 360, because it is the very best I have seen. My mom was in two other nursing facilities in Palm Beach County and BHCC is far superior. I even volunteered for 12 years in NJ before moving to Florida 3 years ago, and BHCC is excellent.

They do not care about their patients.

Response: Must be the same person that reviewed on Jan 13, 2013. BHCC is far superior to other facilities in Palm Beach County. If your loved one is lucky enough to be accepted, consider yourself blessed. The staff is proactive and actually checks in on the residents without being begged to help, or waiting for an aide for over 30 minutes like other facilities.

If it were possible to give this place less than a 1, I would! Horrible nursing aids!! Horrible food!! I can't think of anything nice to say except they do have one or two nice people working there.
