What a horrible place! All the CNA's complain they are understaffed and overworked while admin turns a total blind eye to the needs of their staff and patients. They sure have a scheme going with Brandon Hospital to keep their numbers up. We were told they were wonderful by the hospital, in reality their facility is unclean, staff is not trained in sanitary practices. I believe that Mom caught C-diff there and died a few weeks later.

My immediate family member was th Brandon Health and Rehab Ctr. It's the worst choice I ever made. One nurse and two CNA's for 20+ patients. Yeah, I couldn't believe it. It takes from 5 to 20 minutes for someone to respond to a nurse call-button, and that was with me there. My family member begged me not to say anything about the staff yelling at her and not cleaning her after a bowel movement. Yet roommate is the one that told me abut the abuse. If you have a loved one here; please show up unannouced and have people there all the time. It's so bad that I want revenge. Please do not allow youe loved one to go here. God Bless you and your ill loved ones.

Response: I totally agree and it's so much worse. If you do not have enough family or friends to be there at least 3 times a day, your loved one will be in danger if they do not have someone checking in on them.

The building presents well but is understaffed. My mother consistently waited over an hour for her call light to be answered. Therapy is over crowded and lackluster .
