Never go to Central Park Rehab or send anyone there. You may be killing them if you do.
My name is Marilyn. If you are trying to get out - have someone type out from the internet an AMA form (search internet for AMA form and it will pop up). Fill it out, call your med insurance company and dr, and tell them you have got to get out of there and they won't let you leave which is what they do. They want the $. They have little things they do to keep you there longer. I heard the little speech they use so many times. Give the completed form to the nurse's station and you should be able to leave that day. If you've gotten worse while in Central Park call your dr. and tell him you want to go to another better facility or hospital if needed. You can call me at 941-666-3203. They could have killed me with the drugs they gave me plus mistreatment and no doctor care. I will help you if you need help.

Response: Would love to talk to you about your complaint. Please call 206-240-6972.

To all people looking for a facility to place your dear ones, whatever you do, do not place them in this facility. You will regret it dearly. Of course, that is if you care!!! My mother's primary physician sent her here for 21 days of rehab and I ended up taking her out on the 5th day due to uncleanliness and incompetent staff. The dieticians had no clue on how to properly give my mother her meals and she ended up loosing 9 lbs in her stay. When things got dirty such as floors, etc they would just clean it with a towel and there they went. No such thing as calling janitorial staff to properly clean. Upon my mother's arrival at this facility, she weighted 147lbs and the main assistant nurse just wrote the info on a small sticky note piece of paper. When I asked them on the day I took my mother to another facility, I asked them how much she weighted and they did not even know, the excuse was that the nurse forgot to input it in the system. What a joke... The front staff, what rude people can they be!!! They just ignore you like you are just a bother to them.

Thank God I took her out of this place, today she is finally back at her home after an additional 21 days of treatment and doing great.

Please people, do not punish your family member by taking them to this facility. Remember, we all someday will get there.

If i could give a zero rating I would. The nurses and staff very nice, until you actually become a resident, then you are left in a room alone, staring at a wall. My mother had a brain tumor removed and was suppose to be getting rehab, but somehow she was moved to the long care floor and just left in bed. They talk about their Journey Home program, which they did not do for my mother, in the 2 months she was there, no one ever called me about anything. She had a urinary tract infection that was so bad, she had to be hospitalized. When they took her to the hospital, they put all her belongings in storage, without inventorying something. When she got back to rehab, all they pulled out for her was a few nightgowns, even after two weeks of calling. Now almost$1000 of her things are still missing, including her eye glasses and of course now they won't return my phone calls. Two weeks after the first UTI, she had to go back to the hospital for the same thing. The second time she also had a fungal infection on her back, yeast infections in the folds of her skin, the start of bed sores, blog clotd in both legs, her Dilantin levels were so low she was having silent seizures that no one noticed and her thyroid levels were below normal i received her first bill two days ago, somehow it's in my name and not my mothers and they are already calling wanting to know when they can expect payment. So if you have any choice at all press dont send your loved ones here, their ads all sound nice and the pictures are pretty, but it a horrible place

Filed 2 complaints against them recently (AHCA)for the poor care given my relative. The enormous indifference and incompetence of the staff towards myself and relative couldn't have been more obvious. Be sure you check with the state regarding any facilities you may be considering.

My dad was recently admitted to this facility. The nurses are rude, they rarely answer the phone when we call to check on him, and they seem to have no idea what they are doing.

My mother was admitted on 3/12/2012. We were all immediately greatest by admissions, nursing and administration. Call lights are answered timely from CNAs to the administrator. Social services helped set up home health and my mom is doing great. A really positive experience.
