Poor staffing to resident ratio, very limited activities, untrained care givers, meals for memory unit unappetizing w/ small portions, daily hygiene care lacking, staff are overworked and appear unable to care for number of residents assinged to them. Staff morale poor w/ great staff to poor. I find this unacceptable. Those who care for the elderly should enjoy their work or find another job. Cleanliness of facility questionable, as disagreeable odors noticed, rooms untidy, residents wearing same clothes for days.

Response: My husband has dementia and Spring Oaks took care of him for a year. When I walk into the Memory Care Unit the odor is unbearable and unacceptable. The aides are over worked and their moral seems very low. Many times I came in and my husband would be wearing five layers of shirts while the temperature was over 85. He received no shower or his teeth were not brushed for days. This is unacceptable care. I have a tremendous problem with the Administrator. My husband tried to stab an aide with a fork (remember he has Dementia), I was called in and advised "Your husband needs to be moved ASAP by the administrator. I was given no time to find another ALF..... When it comes to taking care of our Seniors, everyone needs to have ompassion. Not the administrator at Spring Oaks, he is very cold and uncaring!!! If you have a parent or spouse with Alzheimer's or Dementia please DO NOT choose Spring Oaks as an ALF
