I was a Patient/ Resident 2012 The physical therapy dept was good, my LPNs were ok. The nurses aides not good, although there was a filipino aide that was good, I remember asking a different aide for crackers and milk for my roommate and I. The aide said there was not any, so I got onto my wheelchair and wheeled myself down to the next wing and the aides on the other wing found my roomate and me crackers and milk and asked why didn't the aide just come down the hall and pick up milk and crackers. Shower was a problem the aides were arguring on what day I was to shower that scared me, because i was afraid I may not get a shower. I had requested cottage cheese and fruit and the kicken manager came to me and said now are you going to be one of them that wants something special I felt intimated and told her I thought I could request what I needed, i explained to her that my family member had diabities and she was now on dialysis and had calsafalaxis and I wanted to watch what I eat because of family history., I fill that I should not have to plead my case in order to be treated like a person without a disability. When you are at the mercy of the faulity and the staff it is not good if people would only put themselves in our shoes or better yet treat me as if I was your mother or siister or father.
Cleanliness in my room was good the room did smell althought. the activitie room was dirty and the aide there did not want you to ask her for anything, she was suppost to be doinng nails for the residents.
just call the front desk a few times , the recepnist always felt bother just call and ask questions a few times for youselve. When does doctor come around??

This nursing home is infested with ants. Ants have been in my mother's bed many times, biting her, as she has screamed in pain from the ant bites. This problem is chronic and acute. Ants have been all over the building, in the patient rooms, guest bathrooms, shower rooms. The facility is not proactive in dealing with problems. This is one of many problems at this nursing home, which is currently known as Genesis. The administration is reluctant to deal with its problems and is most skilled in being deceptive and dishonest!!!
