Brought my mother here after RUNNING from Healthcare and Rehab of Sanford. What a difference!! The residents are engaged, stimulated, and the employees actually SPEAK to them! They have doggies roaming around the center, and the residents seem to love them. My mom has improved SO much. She is actually going home. If I ever need a rehab in the future for her or anyone that I care about, this will be the place. You should see the residents play volleyball in their wheelchairs-it is quite a sight!! And they are belly laughing!!! The best medicine!

I have to say the pets are awesome, as well as most of the staff and nurses. This is a FOR PROFIT facility and their goal is to fill beds. While I can understand this, it should not be at the cost of poor infection control!! If your loved one is immune comprimized I would NOT consider this facility.

What a great place this is. I just moved my mom here and she is thriving. The pet therapy is great and the various programs they have keep the folks in good spirits. I am very pleased with the care and the staff and everybody here. I would recommend Longwood Healthcare for anyone who needs a caring place for their parent.
