Lovely, home-like senior apartments. Trust staff to take care of my Mom in a respectful manner.

A resident of Cedar Creek who has dementia and advanced Alzheimer was missing from the facility and nobody was aware of it! It was not until the Sheriff Department noticed the poor soul wandering along an extremely high traffic highway, did the administrator and staff of Cedar Creek even know that the resident was missing! That poor man could have gotten hit by a vehicle, or died from dehydration or a heat stroke. And to make it even worse, the Sheriff Officer was observed bringing the resident back to Cedar Creek by a state investigator who was there investigating Cedar Creek for other complaints. There are better assisted living facilities to put your loved ones, don’t risk their lives or put them in danger at Cedar Creek. This is documented: http://apps.ahca.myflorida.com/dm_web/DMWeb_Docs/4211531.pdf

I am so very happy that I placed my Mother here. We really searched Brevard County for an ALF that felt like home. The nursing staff is always helpful and greet me everytime they see my family and I visit
the facility. The new activities director is a jewel. That has been a huge improvement for Cedar Creek. She really is a breath of fresh air for all
of the residents. Keep up the great work Cedar Creek.

Cedar Creek has been the solution that my family was seeking, It is a blessing to have my mother there , Everyone is very responsive to her needs, I feel extremenly happy that she lives there. I have meals with her often and she is doing extermely well. the people who live there are very friendly as well as the workers there, thank you to all of you at Cedar Creek for all you do.

Response: The time that you took to copy and paste this, just shows that you really don't have a life. Go get one. Guess what they are soooooo much better without you there.

Response: considering how all of the residents are complaining about the new activities director "she don't know what she's doing" she can't be too much of a jewel

From the public report posted online by the state of Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) recent investigations against Cedar Creek Assisted Living; the Executive Director, Marketing Director, Director of Nursing, and many of the nursing staff were found suspect. The report of the deficiencies found is 26 pages long! This is very terrifying for the residents who are currently there. Please pass this information on, we must protect our elderly!
“Further observation on 6/12/12 revealed room 117 had a hole in the ceiling with electrical wires that were exposed.”
“Observations of 6/12/12 and 6/13/12 at approximately 10 am noted that room 116 had strong smell of urine and the carpet was dirty”
“During medication review and narcotic count on the second day of the survey at approximately 2pm, two (2) staff stated they forgot to sign the narcotic sheets although they had given the residents the medications today.”

“The unlicensed staff stated she was not aware that she could not take the blood pressure and make a decision to give or hold the medications as the health care provider ordered”

If you want to leave your love ones at the mercy of an assisted living facility that is currently being sued for several wrongful deaths of their residents, Cedar Creek Life Center is the place! :-(

This place is not what it seems, Looks can be very deceiving here. It is a nice facility, but all the activities and services they tell you about while their trying to sell you the ALF life for your parents and grand parents is a lie. The residents just mope around all day because it more nursing home, the Alzheimer and dementia residents are mixed in together with the normal functioning residents. The hands on care staff has no former training in healthcare, if an emergency arises, what can they do? Please think twice before you leave your parents and grandparents in a place like this. it looks good for presentation, and the sales people talk a good game, but just make frequent visits to see what is actually going on.

If your loved ones need assistance do not bring them here. They cannot even handle the most basic needs.
This place sounds good when you get the sales pitch from the director. Don't be deceived.

praise God they finally fired one of the nurses the big coloured one who only came in at night and use to lay her hands on the residents and hurt them

My Dad and Stepmother moved into Cedar Creek over two months ago and love it. We helped place them in two other places here in Brevard and nothing felt like home too them until we made it to Cedar Creek. The staff are wonderful an we can't thank all those who work there enough for the care they give to my Dad and his wife. Keep up the great work.

I had to move my mother from this horrible place because she was NOT being taken cared for and she was very afraid of the nursing assistants there who she told me was always saying mean to her. I feared for her safety, I regret placing her there.

This facility looks beautiful on the outside. On the inside it looks, feels and smells like a dirty nursing home, not a lively assisted living place.

We had to remove our parents from this assisted living facility because if you take your family there they won't get assisted. The staff was rude and it took 45 minutes to get the staff to answer the call bell. The administrator and marketing director told us if we didn't like the care given to our parents we better "move them someplace else!" We did move them to Palm Cottages and feel that our parents are now in good hands.
