This is the poorest ran facility; and the nursing care is unbelievable. All the info in the Avante website is all fictional. Patient call bells ring for over 1/2 hour; then they turn it off and say they will be back and they don't. This is a daily occurrence. The residents lay in their own feces for long periods of time. Staff is extremely rude; and you can watch the nurse aides eat right off the patients trays from the food carts. It's disgusting. If you bring any of these items to the social service director he pretends he'll address them, but never are. And forget seeing a real physician; when they do come in, there is not even patient medical history in the chart they carry around, so they have no idea what they are really treating. You will find as we did, that your family member is easily over medicated; this gives the facility more money based on medication reimbursement; as well as quiet residents, since they are in a stupor. The food is the most unbelievable looking stuff there is; and forget anyone helping a resident cut their food or open a milk carton; they dump the tray and run. Oh but they do have a state inspection, a heads up when they are coming; they clean the place, paint, get extra staff, put on their best behavior; all so they can get good marks. As soon as the inspection is over, back their usual low quality care facility. I know I watched it happen last week. The preparation was unbelievable. But yet they can't care for their residents. It truly is an unsafe environment. They advertise a patio outdoors you can sit with your loved, but if you don't like to sit in smoke, then don't bother; the resident smoking section is 2 ft from the non-smoking section; guess what you get to inhale if you want to sit outside. And, if you make any complaints so that your loved one will get better care, they are immediately black balled, and if you think there couldn't be worse care, watch out; the care goes down the crapper from there.

Patients come second to business and when CNAs and Nurses put patients before business they are either fired or disciplined.
