03/23/2015 An Interested Visitor Writes: My mother has been a resident at Superior Residences for a year now and we are very satisfied with this most outstanding facility. The thing that makes Superior live up to its name is the caring, professional people there. The management, C.N.A.'s, nurses, doctors, and the paraprofessionals all have genuine concern for and care very much for each and every resident. We have always felt Superior Residences in Niceville is part of our extended family. Thank you for helping us to have peace of mind that our beloved mother is special to you too.

03/26/2014 An Interested Visitor Writes: My family member was a resident of Superior for several months. There is a total lack of communication at the facility. The left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. Laundry not being done, haircuts never happening, wearing someone else's clothes, receiving marks and bruises on the body(no one seems to know what happened), beds with no sheets, trashcans without liners. Try bringing your concerns to the management and you receive no resolution with an attitude. I do not recommend this facility to anyone. All of the wonderful caregivers left during our family members stay.

06/24/2013 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: Superior boosts on their adds, brochures and tours that they are a memory care assisted living facility that specializes in Alzheimer's, Dementia, and Parkinson's disease. My father was a resident of "not so" Superior for seven months. During his stay they assisted in bathing him twice - their reasoning was he was combative. He cusses loudly when confused (a symptom of the illness). My bottom line is the staff did not feel comfortable with the amount of time the family spent there especially when my mother started keeping a journal of things she saw. The employees lacked training as well as the key ingredient - kindness and compassion. They push over medicating and don't like resistance by loved ones. I saw other residence decline rapidly and I truly believe over medicating was involved. Over all any facility is only as good as the people that work there.
