You certainly don't believe the room pics!! ... Found about 4 good techs ... food...bit less than average for a rehab... Management OK.. Social Services Double 00 ... no pad alarms for fall risk.... Fall risk patients sit at entry to be watched ...long waits for nurse calls ... very small Gym..Too Small really, very little modern equiptment.. PT/OT lack multiple ways to correct a rehab problem...lack of imagination ... Good location ..

do not be fooled by the decor as this skilled nursing and alf is a wolf in sheeps clothing! there are not enought staff per resident's and as a result the patients are neglected. the management is focused on the bottom line and do not have the type of good moral character that they should have to be in this line of work. on paper this business looks great but i have found patients asleep and drooling without supervision 5 days a week on the front door....if they do not care how this looks to the public can you imagine what goes on behind closed doors?! i also have had a patient, unsupervised, fall out of her chair and break a hip! (*this went unreported and covered up) beware...and if you have to place your loved one at this facility be sure and stop by daily and at different times.

My family member was there and died , partially because of neglect of this facility . Do not let the nice location or the place it self fool you .Our family went there daily to visit however my family member was doing better and set up to come home and all of the sudden was taken to hospital and died days later , because of things this facility and untrained staff did not know how to handle. The paramedics and hospital was shocked by this as well as our family members condition , I found out that staff screamed at our family member and ignored the call button all night long and stated our family member was "emotional " instead of seeking treatment . YOU do not have to believe me, if you have a loved one here or are thinking about it ,make sure you drop by a great deal at unexpected times ( later the better ) the night staff does nothing but put them in there rooms & then ignore them , if this was children it would be on the news , it is a true tragedy what "our greatest generation " War veterns and such are put thru and then like myself it was too late when I put it all together and truly understood the treatment . Also they do steal I brought CHristmas gifts and food and it was all missing and the head nurse might smile at your face , but do not trust her or any of them . The head doctor orders test , more test just to bill medicare and the insurance and please if nothing else please believe me that once you are there after the medicare days run out it is "considered long term " they bill the patients and say they had therapy that they never recieved . Please just stop by late at night and you will see.

Response: It horrible what your relative had to endure. I am also a witness of the neglect of patients at Brighton Gardens. Please if have a loved one there remove them asap!!!

I have a family member who is skilled nursing and it has been a nightmare for her. The staff is awful, rude, and uncaring. The place is clean but that is all I can say about it. If you care for your loved one please do not put them in Brighton Gardens Nursing home. I would fear for their very safely.

Beautiful well cared fo establishment. However the workers steal from the patients. My sister is a resident and they have stolen many things from her including sherbert ice cream I bought her. The food is horrible.

Can you believe there are no telephones in short term? They have one portable phone for everyone staying there. Staff rarely even knows where the patient phone is when you try to contact a patient.
The therapy room is ridiculously small and you are lucky to get a half hour of actual therapy a day. My mother had to use a broken wheel chair the whole time she was there despite multiple requests for a replacement.
The rooms are very nice for a facility of this type but don't be fooled by the gingerbread. You are there for quality therapy so you can get stronger and resume
your life. Brighton Gardens is lacking in all of the most important areas. I would never recommend Brighton Gardens to anyone.
One more thing, they don't even file with your secondary insurance provider. They send the bill to Medicare only and the balance is up to you. This is not standard practice in any other health care facility of which I am aware.
