My mother received excellent care while at ManorCare of Carrollwood! Her recovery was remarkable. The staff was very helpful and we were very pleased. There is nothing I would change. Thank you!

If I could give them NO stars I would. Within the 1st 3 hours my father was there he had a horrible fall. We were told that they can't prevent falls and if we wanted to hire someone to watch him, we could. My family decided to take turns watching him 24/7. When we first got there his room smelled like urine/feces/body order. His roommate smelled like a homeless man, he hadn't been bathed in weeks. I had to create a scene just to have the room cleaned and the urine and feces cleaned from bathroom floor. After speaking with several staff members the room was cleaned, the roommate was bathed and his linens changed. I had to go out and by Lysol and cleaning products to disinfect. After being in the facility for less than 48 hours, my father had to be rushed to ER - after going to ManorCare to heal from a stroke, he is now in ICU! He wasn't given his meds and they lied about that as well. When you have a 30/1 patient to nurse ratio do not expect any type of quality care. No one there except the food service people and Ana the physical therapist really cared or showed any compassion. Every one else was cold and uncaring. Unless you want to stay with your loved one 24/7 to make sure they are not injured, in a clean and safe environment and that they are being attended to regularly, I would NOT recommend this hell hole. They initially said there was a doctor and a PA on call at all times, what a lie! When my father fell I asked to have either of them come by to see my father and they both REFUSED him care! It was a Saturday, I'm sure they had better things going on. Appearances are deceitful, and this institution.

Everything about my stay was positive. I had a lot of confidence in my nurses who were extremely competent. I had IV therapy and had 100% confidence in my nursing team.

Anna and Amy were my therapists and they were great, always seemed up to date with my careplan.

The food was good as well. My CNAs Randy and Iran had an amazing work ethic, and always seemed to be right around the corner if I needed anything.

My overall experience was so good, that when I need inpatient rehab for a second time I went back to ManorCare. I'd go back a third and fourth time if I needed to.

I was contacted by phone by a staff member who was very rude. If the staff members are allowed to yell at family members over the phone and be very unprofessional I can't imagine how bad they treat the patients there behind closed doors. I just hope all of the staff members there don't treat people as bad as she treated me. It is already stressful having a loved one in a care facility so being talked to like dirt isn't acceptable. This lady doesn't need to work with the public period and especially the elderly. I'm picking up my family member first thing in the morning.

They were terrible. Got my sister out of there as fast as possible. Better not have to use the bathroom unless you can wait 30-40 minutes. No care or help on weekends when management isn't around. Rooms have the bare minimum in them. Felt like I had to wash everything when I left there. Staff had plenty of time to stand around and talk with one another. I would never recommend to anyone.
