My mom just left A. G. Rhodes. She was there for rehab for a couple of months. The staff was wonderful. They were very caring, attentive, and helpful. It was a wonderful experience. The rehab was great too. I'd recommend it to anyone.

My wife entered rehab at A.G. Rhodes at Wesley Woods on October 10, 2011 and we were dismissed on January 10 2012 with a couple of visits to Emory Hospital during that time for brain surgery. Our tenure at A.G. Rhodes was excellent in all services. The nursing staff was outstanding and the facilities were very clean and continuously improving - - the new rehab facility was completed while we were there. I visited this facility all hours of the day and night and never found anything to take action on except a very negative and undesireable roommate for a short time. This issue was handled very promptly and we moved to another room. The obnoxious patient left two days later. The admisistrative personnel were the very best helping us with details with our insurance etc. It is difficult for the nursing staff to handle some of the patients due to their medical condition and/or their disposition. My observatiosn were positive in all cases. (note: My wife and I are retired C.L.I.A. hospital laboratory inspectors. This is an excellent facility for patient's care.)

My family put our dad into this facility and they wouldn't help him bathe or didn't change his bedding. My father came out worse than when he came in. the mean staff gave him bad food and hardly any rehabilitation we had to find him a new place. Definiately drive far away from this place.

I have called three times and left my name, number and message, asking for information for my mother. I have yet to receive a call from them, but I have heard from all other nursing homes I have called. This is a bad sign and I have crossed them off my list.

This facility is poorly run and maintained. I have a family member who recently lost her leg, she was unattended and the meals she was provided was below sub-par. My family member fell while being dressed by one of the employees and hurt her leg. If you care for your family member, do not place them in this facility's care.

10/17/2010  -  An OurParents User Writes:

My mother has been a patient for two days and in that time she was not provided diabetic meals, not given pain medicine because no one read her chart to see that she has terminal cancer, and when her room was too hot to sleep she was put in a wheel chair and pushed facing a wall in the hall for 6 hours.
The staff is highly unprofessional and the physical room is aweful. It is shoddy and too small and badly kept
