This place is bad. My aunt was in here for almost 2 years and it was good for the first 1 1/2 years and with the new management/owners it went down. She became unresponsive and they said after 2 days she did not need IV fluids, by the third day when her POA was coming they immediately put in IV fluids and medicine, and ground up medicine in applesauce in her mouth even though she was not responding, when her POA showed up they said she had gone septic and needed to call Hospice in or take her to a hospital. He advised to continue the IV fluids and Meds and arranged for a facility to take her by ambulance in 2 days. She had been 9 days with no food or water when she left and as of today in good shape where she is. He told nurses to take the ground up medicine with applesauce out of her mouth, they did not he got a camera and took a picture of it. It was then removed. He filed a complaint with the manager there and she said she would get the paper work back to him. Now on several calls, she has never returned the call or given the paper work for the complaint on the nursing home. Also since my aunt left the nursing home in the middle of December they owed her half of her paid monies around $3,450.00, it has still not been returned, just told it has gone to corporate headquarters and no one will give you the name or address of this headquarters. Beware of this place, it has really gone down hill and seems illegal. Will have to file with better Business Burea to get the money for the woman that is owed her.

This place is absolutely appalling. If you are currently deciding where to send your loved one, do not send them here if you truly care about them. I had to make the quick decision on where to send my mother for rehab after she had a stroke. My first choices did not have a bed available and I figured this wouldn't be too bad. Well what a mistake that was. The first week my mother was there and I was able to visit everyday, she was fine...talking, able to do some of the physical therapy and speech therapy. I had to leave to go back to work out of state for a week, came back and my mother looked in poor health...not talking, coughing, and one night I found her sitting there in the bed in such horrible state that I comained to the on-duty staff and to the admissions director the next day. To make a long story short, I found numerous violations...such as the window in the room being open and the smell of cigarette smoke wafting in from someone smoking in the parking lot outside. The admissions director never returned my calls or responded to my grievance. The administrator even said that there was no one directly supervising the nurses...they weren't short staffed...there was no nurse manager! My mother developed pneumonia and a host of other problems there and was taken to the hospital where her health conditioned worsened and I know it was due to her lack of care in this facility...she was only there for 2 weeks. Their most recent rating on reflects that which took place during her stay. I only wish before I chose this place, the rating reflected that at the time. Beware and please look elsewhere!

All they cared about was opening the mail and cashing the SSI checks.

Response: Yes, the quality of service at Braircliff is horrible! This place needs to be reported to the state. Staff is rude and not caring. Support Techs don't want to do their jobs at all. You are right.... all they care about is getting their money!
