The Resting Nest was my Grandmother's home when she could not stay by herself any longer. I hope that anyone who is struggling with trying to find a safe, peaceful environment for their loved one finds this place. It is truly a family home environment and we never had to worry whether Grandmother was being treated well or if she was given the best treatment possible. She definatley was! Lisa & her family are wonderful.

Response: My grandmother had dementia and had to be taken to an assisted living home. My family chose the RESTING NEST.
My grandmother was a very strong and healthy person with absolutely no problems except dementia. Her doctor perscribed her a baby dose of seraquil due to that particular medicine can cause heart failure. After bringing her to the RESTING NEST, we were told that everyone else that stayed there took alot higher dosage than that. So, long story short they brought their own doctor in (the grim reaper)and tripled her dosage because they said she was so aggitated and needed to calm down. By 1 month she could not walk at all and within 4 months she had left us. My family tried to ask questions, but the caregivers rushed my family out the door with my grandmothers things. These people are very insensitive and did not do anything to comfort my family. Watch the fine print in their contract because they charge your loved one who dies there AN EXIT FEE!!!!!

Response: THIS IS NOT THE NATURE OF THIS HOME. YES, THERE IS AN EXIT FEE IN BOLD PRINT.

Description of Resting Nest in Gainesville, GA

Built In 1995 , Number of Beds : 6

Resting Nest offers assisted living, independent living, memory care, nursing home, skilled nursing facility, continuing care, hospice and senior living services and amenities for seniors. Assisted living is a good solution for seniors who require a little help but desire to preserve their self-reliance. Why choose assisted living? Studies reveal that living near peers and participating in social activities leads to a more fulfilling life. With assisted living, you'll find senior-friendly living options and a dedicated staff. Communities have additional services that include 24-hour supervision and security, emergency response systems, access to licensed nursing care, chef-prepared meals, and assistance with grooming, dressing, and bathing. Housekeeping, laundry, social programs, and local transportation are usually provided, too. This community, a comprehensive independent living community, allows you to do as you wish, when you wish, but without the burdens of home ownership that can tie you down and take up your time. Serving both individuals and couples, these senior communities are also known as senior apartments, retirement villages, and communities for 55 and older. Residents stay in private apartments or individual homes with a variety of community amenities, services, and programs tailored specifically for seniors. Your personal belongings, such as furniture and favorite mementos, can move to your new home with you. With maintenance, groundskeeping, and housekeeping taken care of, seniors can focus on goals and passions instead of the daily demands of home ownership. Because independent living communities are intended for older adults who need little or no assistance, most do not offer medical care or supervision. Community services and amenities usually include fitness clubs, dining facilities, swimming pools, golf courses, hiking trails, social events, and more. The personal interests of memory care residents at Resting Nest are always honored and respected. Along with the care and detailed attention they receive from specialists in Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, they are encouraged by dedicated staff to pursue the things they love, and always with a spirit of compassion, trust, and teamwork. Memory care is different from the care provided in assisted living, requiring a dedicated staff that is skilled in techniques unique to memory care. Residents live in private or semi-private residences with twenty-four-hour support. Three healthy meals a day plus snacks are provided, as well as housekeeping and laundry services. Structured activities designed specifically for memory impairment support mental stimulation. Grounds typically have secured areas, such as walking paths and gardens, for residents to enjoy. Behavioral therapies, continence care, medication management, and assistance with bathing and grooming are provided as well. Continuing care retirement communities (CCRC) are dedicated to making the phases of the aging process as smooth, comfortable, and enjoyable as possible. It achieves this through offering long-term, comprehensive assistance, from independent living to assisted living to skilled nursing care. If your loved one suffers from serious illnesses or chronic health issues, the nursing care option at Resting Nest is recognized for delivering the kind of knowledgeable, intensive assistance its residents need. Even if their active days are behind them, they deserve the dignity of compassionate mental, emotional, and physical care, and the skilled nursing community within Resting Nest has the staffing and experience to ensure your loved one receives precisely such services. A skilled staff and licensed nurses provide 24/7 health care when needed as well as assistance with the activities of daily living, including grooming, dressing, and help with using the bathroom. Most residents share a room, with healthy meals provided in a central dining room. An activity director designs an activity and events plan to cultivate mental, physical, and social health. Resting Nest provides a low-maintenance lifestyle and the assistance seniors need to enjoy retirement. With comprehensive assisted living, independent living, memory care, nursing home, skilled nursing facility, continuing care, hospice and senior living services, and with a caring environment, seniors can feel relaxed and secure. An assisted living community provides help when necessary with the goal of supplying the services required to stay as autonomous as possible. With independent living, you can do as you wish, when you wish, but without the burdens of home ownership that can take up your time. Memory care gives a higher level of attention, intellectual stimulation, as well as secure, comfortable living arrangements. Continuing retirement care is dedicated to making the phases of the aging process as smooth, comfortable, and enjoyable as possible. It achieves this through offering long-term, comprehensive assistance, from independent living to assisted living to skilled nursing care. Nursing home care gives the highest level of attention in the senior space. Call for more information on how you can become part of the Resting Nest community.
