07/07/2014 An Interested Visitor Writes: It's been years since I admitted my Mom to Riverview Health. I never thought I would write a comment here but it seems obvious the previous 2 comments were written by the same person. I am a Savannah social worker since 1981 and have assisted many families transition to Rehab and nursing settings over the years. When it was time for me to choose, I chose Riverview.

08/27/2010 An OurParents User Writes: Also keep up with your loved one medications and dosage... also apparentyl it is your responsibility to keep up with any pain management. They did not keep my loved one comfortable ... had to make my own doctor appt to ensure my loved one was not in pain and could participate in TP. The "careplan" meeting which they tell you over and over your invited BUT do not have to come! Is a waste of time even with upper management involved... nothing but excuses and pushing the blame to someone else. BEWARE!

08/27/2010 An OurParents User Writes: BEWARE ! I had to put a loved one in this place without doing research first BIG MISTAKE! Took about a month to get my loved one out of here. Seems to me they are looking for long term residents that families are NOT involved with. Even if your loved one is not long term they prolong it so that the patient could easily become one. Interested in the money not the patient. Dont get me wrong there are a few employees that are good but the majority is awful! Upper management is horrible nothing but excuses and blames the family or patient. I found my loved one in (Bed soaked through)wet/soiled diapers several times... left for 45+ mins until family had to tell staff to change. Horrible place!
