User Reviews

06/08/2016  -  An OurParents User Writes:

Absolutely the most archaic healthcare known to the human race. Geriatric care providers appear to be extremely unskilled & the lack of basic understanding of how to care for patients is rampant. The wellness of the patient actually declines while under the care of the providers at this facility. Atrocious!

For in-home care, J Olan Jones Health Care Center has a skilled and caring staff who are ready to assist for seniors in their own homes. Senior care professionals assist with a variety of non-medical needs, including medication reminders, running errands, meal preparation, and grooming assistance. You'll also find these services at J Olan Jones Health Care Center: independent living, in-home care and rehab. This community, a comprehensive independent living community, allows you to do as you wish, when you wish, but without the burdens of home ownership that can tie you down and take up your time. Serving both individuals and couples, these senior communities are also known as senior apartments, retirement villages, and communities for 55 and older. Residents stay in private apartments or individual homes with an abundance of community amenities, services, and programs tailored specifically for seniors. Your personal belongings, such as furniture and favorite mementos, can move to your new home with you. With maintenance, groundskeeping, and housekeeping taken care of, seniors can focus on goals and passions instead of the daily demands of home ownership. Because independent living communities are intended for older adults who need little or no assistance, most do not offer medical care or supervision. Community services and amenities usually include fitness clubs, dining facilities, swimming pools, golf courses, hiking trails, social events, and more. Some seniors, as they age and begin to need assistance, simply do not wish to leave the place they’ve called home for many years. Sometimes they bought their dream home upon retirement. Sometimes it is the house where they raised their children and watched their families grow up. For them, the walls and floors resonate with memories. A caring, in-home staff understands this and is dedicated to making seniors as comfortable and as satisfied as they can possibly be. Services are available twenty-four-hours a day, seven days a week. Home care includes various medical and non-medical support services. For many seniors, home care allows them to stay independent for as long as possible. When seniors are autonomous but want to be in the company of peers, choose indepedent living and enjoy a variety of amenities and services. In-home care is helpful for seniors when they need it. Care professionals will bring their expertise and experience to your home. This choice is perfect for those who would like to stay in their homes but who need some help with the daily activities of living. These services, available 24 hours a day, every day, are paid for by the individual or through public and private funding sources, such as Medicare and/or Medicaid.
