I cannot understand why this care home would be given even 2 stars, much less 5.
We took our 98 year old mother there last week for rehab after surgery at Castle. The first impression we got was how rundown the facility was. As we walked to my mother's room, I notice my shoes were actually sticking to the dirty floors. The walls were peeling and dirty as well.
The staff knew my mother was coming, but her bed was not ready for her, and we even had to wait for pillows.
As we waited with my mother for the staff to get her settled in, the scent of urine hit me. Needless to say, we quickly made the decision to take our mother home. I would never choose or recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for a good, clean care home for their loved one. We need stricter regulations. Ann Pearl Nursing Facility rates a minus zero as far as I'm concerned.
