Alden never precerted my stay w/insurance. Would not release me when I was able to go home. Then charged me for those days they kept me there. I beleive there is some type of fraud going on there. I say someone needs to check into their addmisson and billing practices.

the food horrible!!! no need to go here for rehab because they leave you on your own for hours at a time!!!!

Response: I disagree! The food is very appetizing. Each patient is allowed to select items they would like to have from a menu. The menus are distributed weekly. You need to list your diet restrictions, so they can make sure you are receiving the right food for your health problems. We were very happy with the choice of menus for our family member and so was he.

The administrator at Alden of Waterford is all about obtaining money for her facility. None of her concern is about the residents. So while your loved one is in this facilty she is not receiving the care you think. They are dollar signs. Spend the night with your loved one. Walk in unexpectedly so you can see how Alden is really run when no oine's around.

Response: I strongly disagree with this complaint. We wanted a family member moved t'o another room for various reasons. Our request was handled very well. The move took place within a reasonable time and our family member was very pleased with the results. Aleth O'Hara, Customer Service Liaison, personally helped the staff make this change. She prepared the new room, even making the bed herself, and making sure the patient had all the necessary items in his room, as well as helped to move his personal items from the first room he was assigned. She also thanked each staff member for each task they handled. We were very happy working with Aleth.

Very disappointed in this facility. For rehab patients, the patient does not get PT every day and there is no one around much of the time to help. If there is, as little as possible is done. You have to ask for everything. They need to specialize in getting the patients moving and more interactive. Very disappointed.

Response: you don't get 7 days of therapy in any facility, not unless if you are in acute rehab. i know for a fact that therapy open 7 days, except holidays.and as far as activities, they have an ongoing activities throughout the day and week.

Response: It all depends upon the doctor's orders as to how often a patient is to receive physical therapy. While my husband was a patient at Alden, he even received physical therapy on a Sunday! There exercise room is well equipped and the staff very knowledgeable and eager to help each patient do well.
