The worst! The place has been bought by a company called Legacy and NONE of the people living there are happy about it. They have gotten rid of most of the managers and have been replaced by friends or family of Legacy. Heard a rep for Legacy berating a resident loudly in a public area, thought that was very mean and inappropriate. Legacy is in it for money only!

Visited a relative the other day. Nasty dirty place, couldnt find anyone in the office to talk too that wasnt at lunch. Left several messages to speak with the director and she never called back. My relative had a theft occur (money) and I was concenered that people could ge into his room and the director told me that was impossible because there are never any thefts here. I spoke with other people that live there and they told me that stealing occurs all the time but nobody will do anything about it! Horrible place! Will be taking my relative out of there as soon as possible!

- Aurora Supported Living Center has provided a very positive living experience for my relative since his arrival almost two months ago.
-Located at 1599 N Farnsworth (not the higher care-level facility across the parking lot at 1601 N Farnsworth... one with which I've not had contact), it is just off major arterial roadways and very accessible by auto.
-Staff greeted my family member upon his arrival in spite of an hours-long delay in discharge from hospital. They were pleasant and were prepared for him in terms of necessary paperwork and an orientation tour was provided that first day to aide his acclimation to the setting. "Temporary" furnishings for his apartment were in place (awaiting a review of what he was bringing). Adaptive equipment was available and offered, as needed, until his personal equipment was secured. The pre-arrival administrative support in conjunction with the hospital social work staff’s referral had set the stage well.
-Employees’ attitudes have been friendly at best (most common) and businesslike at worst.
-Office support for long-distance phone calls, faxes, and linkage to an off-site vendor for transportation service regarding an appointment with a local, off-site medical provider.
-Routines for food service and in-room, medication support have been reliable. As-needed support was offered and has been provided in a timely fashion for orientation to apartment's equipment and for general information. Staff have been reliable and cordial in providing for personal, physical care as well as providing monitoring check-ins of residents if a mealtime is missed.
-The facility's common areas have been clean and both the common areas and the apartments appear well maintained.
-Residents have been respectful and generally genial. The overall tone of the environment has been a positive one.
-The administration selectively supports on-site services from outside vendors to provide extra convenience for residents. These have included an optional primary care physician and barber/hair styling providers.
-My family has appreciated the level of administrative and staff support available and the consideration that's been offered in aide of my family member's transitioning from independent living to a supported living arrangement.

Horrible place! Smelled like urine. The office girl was rude and not helpful. Paint chipped off the walls, the mens public bathroom was disgusting. None of the staff were very friendly. Asked to meet the Director a number of times, she was NEVER there to see us or take phone calls when we called asking more questions. The admissions girl acted like it was a chore to talk with us, she was eating her lunch aat her desk and talking on her cell, while we waited to 15 minutes for a tour. The place is nasty, please if you love your parents, put them somewhere better.

AND I want to add that 3rd shift employees absolutely positively DO sleep their whole shift since there is nobody there to tell them to GET TO WORK!
-Reminds me of the time that they found out somebody was sleeping IN the bathroom with a blanket and nobody did anything about this!!

This is one of the worst places ever. They don't have you sign any paperwork, they don't follow any of your instructions, and they kick you out when you don't comply to their rules that were not agreed upon. They start out good cleaning, and keeping things organized and slowly begin to slack off the longer the patient is there. They have major problems communicating with you and will kick you out and sue you without even thinking twice about it.

Found the home clean with a nice menu. Staff talked with us from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. The residents seemed happy and activities were going on on two floors when we were there
