Owned by Mike and Mary Doepke, RN, Home Helpers Home Care of Hinsdale is a state-licensed Home Services and Home Nursing agency whose only goal is to provide excellent home care for anyone in need of a little extra help.

Home Helpers Home Care is a Best of Home Care Provider of Choice and maintains an A+ Rating from the Home Care Standards Bureau. That means they go above and beyond state minimum requirements to find and train the very best caregivers for you or your loved one. Professionally trained, carefully selected caregivers serve clients in western Cook and eastern DuPage counties with expert, compassionate care, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Unlike some other agencies, Home Helpers does not use subcontractors. The company hires, trains, employs, supervises and supports its caregivers.

Services can be provided in the client’s home, retirement community, nursing home, hospital or rehabilitation center. There is no minimum requirements and no contract to sign. Whether it is for 1 hour a week, 24-hour live-in support, or something in between, Home Helpers caregivers will be there when you need them.

Care plans are tailored to each client’s needs and may include:

·       bathing, dressing and toileting

·       shopping, meal preparation and feeding

·       medication reminders and set-up

·       companionship

·       light housekeeping

·       transportation and errands

·       skilled nursing services

·       specialized dementia care

Direct Link Personal Emergency Response System (PERS)  
Home Helpers Home Care also offers Direct Link PERS, which allows you to be one touch away from help at all times. Simply press the small, wireless button worn around your neck or wrist and your information appears immediately on the computer screen of the monitoring staff. Staff will contact you through the 2-way speaker and await your instructions.

You can instruct staff to:  

* Have a neighbor check in on you  
* Dispatch an ambulance  
* Notify a family member of your situation  
* Summon the police or fire department  
* If no response, an ambulance will be dispatched immediately  

Direct Link PERS is monitored 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The cost is very affordable at about a dollar a day. Best of all, it is available on a monthly basis. No equipment to buy. No long-term commitments or obligations. It is personally installed and maintained by your local Home Helpers office. And, you do not need to be a Home Helpers Home Care client.  

Kate's Comfort Food  
Home Helpers Home Care and the award-winning Casey's Market in Western Springs have teamed up to help make eating right easier for those living alone.

Kate’s Comfort Food is designed to help seniors enjoy home-cooked, hearty meals without all the effort. Delivered to the customer’s door, Kate’s Comfort Food features favorites like Pot Roast, Salisbury Steak and Corned Beef, among the menu’s 20 meals and dozen soups. Most dishes contain a main course, veggie and side. Meals arrive frozen and ready for the oven, microwave or freezer.

The average meal price is about $7, plus a flat $5 delivery fee. There are no contracts to sign, no minimum orders and no tipping!
